how scary is subject to each player, but Dead Space is an excellent example of horror that is both "tried and true" while ever so slightly introducing new ideas... or at least refreshing once stale and old ideas (ie: the dreaded ventilation shaft). it becomes predictable in how it'll freak you out, but its so well designed and presented that every room you enter and enemy you encounter is met with a surprising degree of player trepidation...

Dude, those two games could not be any more different from each other even if they tried! :) If i was you i'd stay away from saint's row2, dead space is a much more inmersive game BUT you said you want a game to last you a long time(replay value) an Dead space does not have multiplayer. So if you own a 360 buy Gears of war2, or left 4 dead;and if you own a ps3...buy either Resistance2, or little big planet. By the way another top notch game is Bioshock, on either console, Good luck
