Where I live, you always see people sitting next to SuperMarket enterances with a really adorable puppy- so you give them money as sympathy for the puppy.
When I was like, 8 I saw one with a cute German Shepard puppy, kept on asking my Mom to give the man money. Now I just admire the puppy and walk along.
its a good thing i live in clovis ata fresno becasue all if not most are real homeless, and btw i seen them with there kid, so ya, that why i don't want to live in la unless theres a video game dsign job
just this year when i was on holiday a woman that was clearly on drugs jumped in front of me looking like she was going to mug me and wouldnt leave me alone till i took her leaflet
Once, on a visit in Chicago, we passed this obvious panhandler with a baby in a stroller and the sign said "Need food for baby" but he dressed nicely and smelled of beer. :/
You know what's wierd? You mentioned Wal-Mart when you were talking about well dressed panhandlers, when I actually saw one when I was driving home from Wal-Mart once 0_0.
One time when I was a kid, we were at the supermarket and there was this young teenager asking for money "for food" (I think he was parking shopping trolleys and keeping the coins, either that or helping people park their car for a tip).
Anyway my Mum said she wouldn't give him money - he looked like a junkie - but she'd buy him a burger if he wanted. He agreed and they went inside and the kid got his burger. And when he came out he looked really pleased eating it, and thanked my Mum. LOL
i had a woman come up to me at a gas station, she introduced herself and explained that her car had a bad oil valve and didn't have enough gas to get to repair shop that was probably x miles away, I looked under the hood and I'll admit I didnt know what I was doing so I said it looked bad. She asked if I could buy her a full tank of gas, i told her if it would help I would give her ten dollars because this is when gas was around 4.50 in my area. she gladly took it and I wondered if that was rite
giving to panhandlers is like feeding youtube trolls... its a pain to ignore but you feed em and they will never leave

Me and my mother actually gave him money and proceeded to go eat lunch at a restaurant, and we saw him at the exact same restaurant.
