  • How does it looks on front. I've never got braids on my hair and I really want to but I just don't know how to make them on front..

  • box braids are what you do from plastic lace

  • Thanks so much for this video I am going to try this I couldn't figure it out until you explained it

  • Wow! You are so awesome with teaching. I have three black girls and still don't know how to braid. You are white girl who rocks.shots out to you girl?, keep yo the gots work! Love you

  • pretty good ...im with the army dude. im interracial and hate when i see ppl not takin care of there kids hair just neglect white or blk..educate urself on the topic n try ..but for conditioner i believe cholesterol is the best u can get it @ sallys beauty supply let it sit for 5minutes n its like magic. makes hair very manageable ..n theres a product called HAIRMILK by soft n beautiful just 4 me 2 use ie gel..its alcohol free..gel has to build up n alcohol.

  • I'm so glad you do there hair right, we are in the army and there are alot of interracial couple and alot of the white women don't have a clue how to do their kids hair i just had my german friend watch you video so she can do her daughters hairLoL

  • great job!! i have never been able to use that bead tool. lol my kids are too old for beads now but i always wondered if that thing really worked. lol

  • your children are so lucky [:

  • wow nice

  • wat kind of gel do you use? alcoholic gel causes breakage, as well as rubberbands.

  • this is so sweet, im speechless

  • your daughter is very patient. Thank you for sharing your beautiful hair care styles.

  • Do you straighten your daughters' hair?

  • that's really cute.. I wish I had someone to practice this on. :)

  • mineral oil and lanolin is really bad for afro textured hair, its only in most products because its cheap and adds weight to the product

  • @YayFlannigan I Agree. And also alot of the cheap woman of color crap is drying because of the alcohol in the conditioner

  • thank you for posting this video...wow ur little girl stayed calmed thru out the whole thing I'm a grown woman and i fuss

  • Excellent job!!! Can you come and do my hair???

  • A water based moisturizer is much better for AA hair than gel.

  • LUSTER'S PINK MOISTURIZER (light)

  • Thats the worst thing she could use. Mineral oil is a no-no for our hair.

  • @GooGoo32 yes i know this know after doing my research, lol iam not a hair expertits just bad hair habits i have to break.

  • Great job!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow thanx for dha vid

  • Thanks for making this video. Your lovely daughter is very patient to stay still without fussing. Your love shines through the beautiful hair styles you take the time to create for your child. May God continue to bless you and your precious family. Peace.

  • very well said :) @djoy4ly

  • you dnt but gel on dha baby hair

  • great job!

  • you're braids are amazing. thank you for sharing.

  • wow! you are very good at doing this!! great job!! :D

  • I have been doing braids for many years, micros, boxs, cornrows, etc. You are doing a great job. I find using gel on client's hair breaks it off and it won't grow as long. I use hair grease on the scalp and the hair. This will help with clients that have a coarser texture hair , because the hair tends to be very dry and needs a great deal of moisture. This prevents a great deal of breakage.

  • Just a tip for you. When I was a little girl and had these braids my mom would use aluminum foil on the ends. Just place the hair in a small amount of foil, roll it up and put the beads on. Then once the beads are in bunch the foil up to keep the beads on. Its better than rubber bands because they do cause breakage like you said.

  • thats how i had it when i was little...just remember to really put enough conditioneron the ends of the hair because it will get dry and brittle if it's "trapped' inside that foil for a long time :)

  • i remember the aluminum foil and i HATED it as a kid! i remember i would come home from school with some beads missing or when i work up, the foil would have hair peeping out when i woke up in the morning. then i learnt how to do them with elastics. yea they break hair, but if you dont use it all them time then there's nothing wrong. i guess

  • ur box braid r hott.

where did u get the bead releser?

  • under hand makes ur braids come out skinnier?? whats the difference btwn over hand and under??

  • You do such a wonderful job on your daughters hair. It's great when parents keep there child's hair natural and taken care of. as a hair stylist I see so many children with permanently damaged hair because of those so called children's relaxers and most of the culprits are black parents.

  • ITS HER KIDS HAIR, SO WHAT.GEEZ.

  • why so big, they will fuzz out pretty quickly..

my babysister boxbraid their hair everymonth. much smaller tho. that in the video is a one week style.. at the end of the week it will be pretty fuzzy

  • can't tiny braids rip out your hair? cause when you take them out they can form nots which will cause you to pull the nots out[losing hair] or cutting off the part.

  • no i'm black. and saying no offense doesn't always take off the offense. so offense taken.

and even if I was white it wouldn't matter either way. and plenty of blacks have told me the that little braids can rip out the braids.

    wether your experienced or not.

  • there not that big. And i'm not talking about micros, i'm talking about small braids period.

They are too much tension on the hair.

  • now ur just being silly... the little girls hair is fine!

  • LOL @ the assumption that all black people are experts at braiding

  • I'm not an expert that's why I"m watching this LOL

  • Ya if they are too small they can cause braekage

  • Maybe she only wants to keep them in for a week. Some people like to do a fresh style every week. I brid my son's hair 1-2 a week..... I like to keep them looking fresh and change the position

  • cute hairstyle,good job!

  • Thanks for all your ideas..I'm just learning braiding techniques..which are very helpful with my biracial daughter's hair. You are awesome!

  • where do u get that pink beader device from?

    I am loving it :-)

  • i love how u always say 'frizzys'

    soo awsumm :)

    i lovee the hairstyle

  • Thanks for giving them cultural styles and not killing their hair with chemicals. Right on!

  • w/e your talking about i never said anything hateful...that lil girls hair is nice i asked a question about something i didn't know

  • is it softer that way?!! maybe i should try that tahnx!!!!!!

  • I think that it is wonderful that you style the child's hair so well. I have seen other parents that didn't know how to care for African hair. They just let the hair lock up into dreds out of neglect. Great job.

  • question why do u braid under do they not work as good as when u braid over??

  • You have to braid under to do cornrows, otherwise it is a french braid. Since I do cornrows all the time, my hands are used to braiding under.

  • y don't u wash there hair??? is conditoner better??

  • I do wash it - I just wash it with conditioner instead of shampoo, it is less drying and it gets just as clean,

  • Can you tell me what type of conditioner you use on your little girls hair?

  • I have used different stuff. I used to use Pantenee for Women of color. Right now I am using Sunsilk. Nothing special or expensive.

  • @priestml You shouldnt use any of those products becasue they have ceteryl alcohol in it which is WAY more drying than shampoo. I use Olive Oil condtioner and shampoo on my neice both of which have NO alchol in them

  • Your amazing girl.. You are putting me to shame... im AA and dont know how to braid..LOL You are teaching me some thangs girl!

  • good job!

  • YOu have done a great Job with the videos! thanks!

  • Bad lighting....hard to what was happening

  • Good for you, thanks for taking the time to learn to care for your daughter's hair...can you get the JML at Sally's?

  • amazing!!

  • You are just amazing. WOW. How did you learn all of this????

  • i blow dry my 2yr olds hair after i was it and condition it i blow dry it with the comb and flatting it

  • u put heat on on 2 yr old wow....she sits for that???

  • thanks for the idea! my daughter has curly curly natural hair. I dont want to relax her and need some new styles. I'm trying to teach myself to cornow. i taught myself to boxbraid with extensions. i never thought to do it on natural hair for my daughter. Great job. her hair is pretty

  • that little girl must have the best hair in her class

  • VERY CUTE
