@CRAKIZGOOD Sadly it dd not work out as I bought the Asus g74sx laptop but lucky me I got in a dispute with a computer company and I won and they have not asked for their parts back. All I need is a new mobo and cpu because I have everything else including a tiny Micro ATX case with a 550 watt psu and space to fit 9 inch graphics cards. So I guess I will get two rigs for the price of one. :)
@CRAKIZGOOD Well I bought a crappy G72 which is a very old gaming laptop and it was faulty. I returned it but eve to know it was faulty they still wanted to charge a restocking fee. So instead just traded it in for parts to build micro atx mini rig. The mobo was busted and it had a pci e x16 1 instead of 2.0 slot like they said it had. My mom and I ( I paid half and she loaned me half so she was at a loss too) had a dispute with my card company and I won. Then I went to Best BUy and picked up
an Asus G74sx laptop, ( Total beast by the way) but now it is two weeks later and I still have a bunch of functional parts. So I am going to order a Micro ATX LGA 775 SB mobo and put in an Intel i3 2100 Sandy Bridge, grab a new monitor and I found a cheap stick of 4 GB of DDR3 ram by Crucial. So yeah, epic win. :)
As soon as I get a job I'll be saving up for this but a Core i3 board and CPU instead, very nice vid and I like the music it's got a nice 80's music beat to it =)
@CRAKIZGOOD lol i know what mobo your server uses, i have the same one in a box o parts next to my desk, i think its an ices-003 socket 775 intel board, anyways i like the lan pc its very nice
@CRAKIZGOOD dude i had a tandy i think it was a 2200 no hard drive, and worked on 5.25s with a monochrome monitor, i gave it to my old computer science teacher when i was in school
and if u want something different check the gemini cooler
just go to google and type " SG05, GeminII inside " and click on the first link
thx for checking the video out and if u want any more info please comment back
if u dont mind sacrificing the HD/dvd bracket for better airflow check my HD SG05 mod on my profile u only need some mesh normally found in GPU boxes and 2 zip ties
yes its extremely fun i loved building it my bro helped me out i did the research before buying the hardware only 1 website tried that cooler (axp 140) and it was in German but the pics they had were enough
and i cant hear it at all which is scary :P the noctua fan * u can see it at 0:12
i assume you used the 450w psu then, where did u get it? I have been having trouble finding PSUs in that form factor. I have seen other builds that use the 300w psu but they sacrifice the GPU and go for something lower end.
@CRAKIZGOOD this man is right, ive overclocked my sapphire 4850 from stock 625mhz core clock to 775 mhz, and im running on load only 65 degrees, using furmark stress test of couirse
@CRAKIZGOOD i like there platform, chipset + cpu + gpu with great AMD software to make the best of them
plus intel has to much cache and not supporting usb 3 and they have 2 sockets whilst am has 1 and next year you'll need to get a new intel motherboard for there new cpu's as they are doing ANOTHER socket
think AMD will also come out with a new socket but i'd rather support them, phenom 2 x4/x6 is plenty performance for me
oh J&W have a 6 core mini itx board but its at 95 watts thats the amd problem its always limited on some boards no idea why
but come on in term of advancement intel is waaay ahead look at their cpus almost everything is integrated look how small the NB coolers are and its been a long while since a new amd architecture was made they are dependent on cores and higher clocks-i have no idea how amd will win its been "low" since core 2 duo
@CRAKIZGOOD I don't like J&W, no reason as to why primarily the name and look of the boards. lame I know but hey.
AMD are winning on price/performance and having a complete platform with great software. Bemp Profiles, ACC and that other thing that stops all uneeded processes etc when you launch a game.
AMD should have there new platform out next year with new chipset, updatin mem controllers etc etc and even better platform integration. Thats were the market is going, platforms I believe.
@CRAKIZGOOD AMD's doing better with notebooks then ever on the CPU front and right now have best GPU's to, Dell and HP and loads of other manufacturers have cracking AMD laptops about but the core i with integrated gpu laptop cpu's are superior and well priced
yes, i will a AMD Dragon SFF Sugo SG07 with X4/X6 and 5870 + seagate momentus XT
i dislike ati support on software like sony vegas and many other it was a real disappointment for me when i got my new hp laptop it has a 5670 gpu :(
i only found 1 model on the hp site that has a amd cpu
AMD is fighting for price but not performance for 3 years when are they gona step it up if FUSION was like a gpu+cpu chip (like the one on the new xbox slim)

thinking of making a lanbox. this board run fine? atm i got a matx board for lanbox but need new case n stuff. gonna prob get this board. atm olny got a core2duo E7400. with 2gb ram and a 9400. that run on this board no probs? thorght better make sure n stuff xD and i got a psu and case worked out i think :D
You can put a Corsair H50 and a HD 5850 (24cm in length) in there, seen people mod it so they could fit a normal PSU in there too... so fucking nice, but still... bad chipset and heard about so many problems regarding the mobo. I'll stick with my SG03 cause it can handle CF later on when needed :)

try googling sg05
ive seen people mod at SG05 and install a 5850 with a 300 watt psu

@Frid0l1n
i guess its safer with 600 watt SG05
do u already own a SG05 ?
CRAKIZGOOD 5 months ago
@Frid0l1n
the SG05 already comes with a 300 watt PSU inside
and yes the CPU is great at 100% cpu load no problems
CRAKIZGOOD 5 months ago
@CRAKIZGOOD
the gpu dosnt needs a 550watt PSU the whole system needs 550 watt psu
its giving an average
i tried a Q9550 with 4gb ram and a 4850 and im not at the limit of the PSU
if u want a small psu that would fit in that case go to a computer forum and they might help u

@CRAKIZGOOD i'll carry on waiting for the sugo sg07 then
they are really taking them time realising it and i don't understand why
hope they change the front face plate to black and by time of release gigabyte or asus will have a 890gx itx m/b avialable
groMMit1981 1 year ago
@groMMit1981
a 890 ?? why do u want the fast gpu for a htpc ?
CRAKIZGOOD 1 year ago
@CRAKIZGOOD huh? 890 is amd's premiere chipset
in itx form they prob will only go 890GX but fingers crossed for a 890X as I have no need for integrated gpu in GX but not many are doing 890X
only diff is the integrated gpu which i reckon is a good thing, if you discreet gpu fails hey u can still use your pc
groMMit1981 1 year ago

if u want that then this case is not for u since it has an area for pci-e this case is for gamers
usb 3 not supported ? it dosnt have to be most asus and gigabyte board come with a usb 3 controller and to be fair the 890 chipset is much newer
but a nvidia gpu is more liked in this industry flash is supported better on nvidia but if ur gona get a phenom it wont be a problem
and if u like the combo zotac is offering the 9400 mcp on boards like the vid

This looks really really nice. :)
So ...
Have you done any benchmarks?
What games have you played on it and what settings?
Have you tested World of Warcft on it and if so what settings or any other online games?
Any regrets?
As in "I should have used X instead of Y!"

You can put a Corsair H50 and a HD 5850 (24cm in length) in there, seen people mod it so they could fit a normal PSU in there too... so fucking nice, but still... bad chipset and heard about so many problems regarding the mobo. I'll stick with my SG03 cause it can handle CF later on when needed :)
loociousz 2 years ago
all the problems are fixed on the new boards zotac has

The motherboard is bending!!! Too much weight for just 4 screws in the corner (mini-ITX standard)!
Furuyah 2 years ago
its an optical illusion because on the orange pci-e and the camera angle
i checked the motherboard its not bent at all
CRAKIZGOOD 2 years ago
I presume that's not all off the basic 300W psu that cases comes with, you have to have a third-party one? I thought it had really shitty ampage :(
onnet7 2 years ago
it is the 300 watt
the stock
ive seen people using that 300 watt with a 4870 and a xeon quadcore
the 300 watt stock is 80+ it can handle anything u you throw at it
CRAKIZGOOD 2 years ago
It does sound pretty nice actually, taking the size into considersation obvious.
What is the actual ampage on the +12v, though? :)
onnet7 2 years ago
I'm an idiot and just used Google, nevermind.
Thanks anyway ;)
onnet7 2 years ago
wow that heatsink is BONKERS, lol very nice
