I have never used a rifle before, and I want to buy one for coyote hunting, when aiming down a scope, do you have to aim the crosshair above the target when it is that far away, or do you always put the crosshair right where you want it to hit. lol I know this sounds retarded, but I just don't know. My dad isn't into hunting, so I got to learn this stuff off the internet or by myself.

@bigbomber2007 Depends on the range, caliber, ammunition used, what range you have zeroed(set the crosshairs to hit dead on at, e.g. 100m) etc. You should be able to find trajectory charts for most calibers and different munitions via a google search.

all these videos by MC Rifles are real. the guy is a expert local gunsmith who can make anything your heart desires gun wise. saw a video of a shot on a dove, sitting atop a high tensile fence post at a little under 1000yds with a .338 lupua. this stuff is impressive and is very much real.

1800 yards is the new standard for comp. the .300 in RAUM, WIN MAG, and NORMA will hit pretty well at this range. The lapua even better with cross winds.And the cheytac .408 even better, but considered a wildcat and out of comp.
