  • "Here, have beet make you strong."

  • "my new songs go ompa ompa but my jumping mice onli play tooodle toot....like that..its nice but not so much amazing" lmaoo i love this guy !

  • i love that he has a "Hero of Chernobyl" medal on his wife beater

  • Hard to believe that's Ian McShane. He's got quite a range.

  • Mr. Bobinsky is just the best !!!!!!!! love him !!

  • He's my favorite character in this movie, completely genius.

  • lmfao he's so funny.

  • bethgoth15 u like this guy? i think he is ugly

  • BOBINSKY IS MY IDOL!!!!!

  • I have such a crush on this guy lol.

  • Maybe this is just me, but if there's an old man living in my attic with a chicken indoors, I'm going the OTHER way, thank you very much. *lol*

  • Full name: Sergant Alexander Bobinsky. O_O

    :DD

  • Serge Alexander Bobinsky...

  • Pause on 0:23

    Look at Coraline's face!

    :P

  • lol tootle toot, missed the part were he jumps off his balcony and lands over her. that was jokes too

  • my cousin acts like bobinsky

  • 0:16 my fav part

  • OOMPAH OOMAH !!!!!!!!

  • hahah tootle toot! i loves it

  • 0:25- 0:36 is my favorite part of this entire movie

  • wat is das badania

  • "Das vadania", I think it means hello/good-bye in Russian

  • You are right. "До свидания" (it is pronouncing like "Doh svihdaneeia") is translating as "till meeting" meaning "See you later" or "good bye".

  • @AGR04 Dos Vendanya is goodbye :D

  • @AGR04 it's just strait up good-bye or farwell.

  • if its stop motion how do they get the pupptets to jump and stay mid air will they stop motion it

  • They use rigs - metal devices - to hold the puppet in place while they animate it. Then, when they have the scene on the computer, they digitally erase the rig.

  • Yahoo! He was so funny in this movie, and one of the creepiest, when the world began to fall apart, too. :) I loved it!

  • 0:25 - 0:36 i love that part

  • Mee tOOo. is my favoriite!

  • how can he be so strong with a giant stomach and extremely thin arms and legs?

  • That's the beauty of animation! You can do those sort of things! X)

  • I dont remember this guy in the book

  • they just changed his look and name. he still has his mice play instruments, just have a circus go along with it.

  • i love how his arms and legs are skinny as sticks but his stomach is HUGE xD

  • Don't we all? :D

  • Why filmmakers didn't hire a Russian native speaker to dub mr. Bobinsky? His Russian is so bad, he said most every russian word wrong. Also this guy mr. Bobinsky don't look like Russian. Typical russian had blue or gray eyes and light brown hair. Above his skin is not blue)).

  • It's just supposed to be some harmless fun, I think. Don't take it too seriously, it is animated after all. We all know what Russians really look like, blue skin's just an artist's approach to telling the story.

  • O. k. I understood It was a joke. But in any case it's strange that you know what russians look like and image they other way. I think and it is just my opinion that it is bad taste. This movie had a big budget for hiring a russian speaker dubbing or acctressing dubber voice to make Mr. Bobinsky's voice sound like Russian. I'm apologizing for beind boring, but I'm noticing such phenomenon in the vast majority of american animation films, which is irritating a bit.

    P. S. "Da svadania" - LOL!)))

  • well if you take a look at Mr B medallion, it's a Russian medal Hero for Service at Chernobyl, Ukraine. So since he was participating at a Nuclear Clean Up, it might explain his blue skin and odd behavior.

  • ah sry, just found that another ppl had answer your question regarding Mr B

  • The voice actor isn't even Russian, VSeleznv, He had to practice to put that Russian accent. My oppinion he did quite well. :P

  • I noticed that he was not Russian, Kiqua, and IMHO his accent was too bad. I can appraise it objectively cause I am Russian of course))). I'm just astonished that russian-speaking actors are not being hired. You sure can mention the new Star Track but this is not Russian who plays Chekov's role, this is Russian jew. I don't believe that there are no real Russian actors in whole America.

  • Here is some interesting trivia that I just found out. The medal that Mr. Bobinsky wears is for heroic service during the Chernobyl reactor meltdown in the 1980's.

  • I know, isn't that cool! :)

  • guess that's why he's blue^^

  • "And I am the Amazing Bobinski! But you, call me Mr. B. Because amazing, I already know that I am. You see, Caroline, the problem is my new songs go "Oom-pah! Oom-pah!", but the jumping mice play only "Toodle Toot" like that. Is nice, but not so much amazing. So now, I switch to stronger cheese and soon, watch out! Here, have beet. Make you strong!"

  • He's so much fun to imitate! I love Mr. B! :D

  • Yes. He IS fun to imitate. I'm trying to talk like him right now! But I'm no Ian McShane.

  • Wow. Ian McShane was convincing. I don't think he's Russian, but his acting made me believe he was. That's good acting.

    But Bobinski needed more lines.

  • He's not, Ian is actually English and his father was Scottish!

    I agree, Mr.B needs more lines! :)

  • Well, he played a convincing Russian.

I was wondering whether or not he's really Russian because he played Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda, and Tai Lung didn't have an accent.

  • I agree, I wouldn't have been able to know that he wasn't Russian!

Tai Lung had an English accent.

  • Well, now that you mention it....yes, Tai Lung did have a bit of an English accent. Not a very strong one, but you can sorta tell that he has one.

  • Yeah, just a little one! :)

  • Yeah. It's like that little dash of pepper in your ramen. It's subtle, but it's there.

  • LOL he's funny!!

"the jumping mice play only TOODLE DOO"

  • wat type of name is bobinsky!!!??? no offense 2 ppl who have dat name.. LOL

  • It's RUSSIAN. Jeez.

  • This is spooky...my last name is Bobinsky too!!!!

  • "But call me Mr. B, because Amazing I already know that I am!" That's one of my favorite lines in the whole movie!

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • I assume this will just get taken down by youtube before too long but thanks for posting!

This movie was amazing. The 3-D effects work really well in complimenting the stop-motion animation, too. I'd recommend seeing that version if you haven't already

  • Oh no I've seen it in 3D!

The effects were great! Made the movie a perfect 10 for me!!

  • did he say whatcha! at 0:40 or vaga

  • Vwatch out!

It's like "watch out" but with a Russian twist!
