I do not think you understand these aircraft, they can land any body of water in river, lake, ocean, ect. and have 12,000kg of water or retardent material onboard. And can fly multipule times for day. We have 5 them, and 3 is being built now. Even 5 makes huge difference.

Still the Evergreen Supertanker for instance can take 94,850 kg of water and the US owns/contracts nearly 1000 water bombers (including small ones), so I was quite surprised of Russia's 5 air tankers. But I guess Russia also uses Ilyushin Il-76 and probably more helicopters? I don't know... Russians are intelligent and they certainly have a running anti-wildfire system...
