it doesnt activate anything. ok so aim it toward this wierd island that is north west on mercay, then move it counterclockwise 2 times then bomb that area. i advise you to use a bomb chew incase you mess up on the positioning

To open the bridge.... But you can just go to the place where you blow the wall up to goto the waterfall bridge........

you do know that there is an easier way to get there if you don't have the bow all you need is bombs. the way you went needs the bow. where there is cave, in the area before that (exactly in the north of the island) there is a wall with no crack in it that is big enough to be a cave put a bomb in there, and go in and keep going and when you're out you're on freedle's island.
