Maruis have been known by experienced airsofters to be one of the longest lasting AEGs on the market. They have a track record of about 20 years. Only noobs coming late into the airsoft world within the past 2-3 years would say something like that. And i would take a very durable ABS plastic body over a cheap chinese metal body any day. The metal is terrible and breaks often. At least maruis are made/assembled by educated engineers and not mass produced by chinese 12 year olds in a sweatshop
I hate Marui. Their longevity is short lived, everything that I bought from them breaks. The reason? Cheap plastics. Not only that, they discontinued those guns I have and I only had them for a short time. I say do your homework and buy from a different label .

@dragkid185 I have a Marui Desert Eagle that I bought 2 years ago and something plastic just came apart in it. More like shattered. I went to all the merchants here in Cali and they can't repair it. I went looking for bone yard parts because they don't sell guts for it. So I went looking for the gun itself and no one stocks it. I can by it used for $125 to $150 if I can find it on Craigs List if I'm lucky.

Take this gun, and try to half trigger. If it works, the bolt will stop at the middle of its cycle (on the AIRSOFTGUN) , as the Piston will stop halfway, hold in place by the ARL, and therefore, it holds the bolt in its middle position.
Especially on Fullauto, this should occur often. But as the Bolt-movement is very small, it does not...
The Bolt carrier and Charging handle are a ONE PIECE BLOCK OF STEEL, the only moving parts are the firing pin, the bolt itself, and the handle ontop which swings to either side and can be locked in place as a forward assist.
I was trained on the real thing, but pictures on the internet as well as videos on this site can confirm you wrong...the charging handle moves, because if it doesn´t, it broke off of the rest of the bolt carrier.

The SCAR, the AK variants, the SIG 550 series of rifles, the G36, I think the AUG too but don´t quote me on that.
The ones that do not either have no gas piston, or are based around rifles which had no gas piston (HK416)...the AR-18 which the G36s internals are based on also had one...

hey what's the best one piece version 2 gear box you can get? cause kwa doesn't sell just a gear box. cause i have a g&p m160 motor and i need to slow it down because the speed and power combined with a 9.6 volt battery are more than an echo 1 gear box can handle.

@Str8KillersAirsoft That is standart for TM...but don´t worry, TM uses it´s special kind of magic to make it shoot as far and as accurate as 350+ weapons. The BB moves slower, but it will reach and hit it´s mark.
And as long as you don´t mess with it, the Gearbox holds a lifetime.
Because in most other counties it IS spelled with the second I (aluminium).
In fact the only country I've seen calling it aluminum is USA. Every other country call it aluminium (believe me. I live in Denmark. English is only my second language).

can somone help me out? im looking for a gun that can be excelent as a sniper rifle (for 50 to 75 feet or so) but also a very good assault rile. i play with my brother in some these woods, where there is alot of high ground, and sniping is my speacialty, but games always end with close quarter shootings, so i dont want a slow reloader with high FPS when we get close.. G36 fires from a closed bolt, the automatic cycle always finishes with the bolt forward (closed).
Some weapons fire from and open bolt leaving the cycle ending on a bolt in the rear position. There is no action that ends the cycle with the bolt in the middle, that just makes no sense. If an AEG does that, its just cheap, defective or broken.
@redwolfairsoft Its the thing, that the "Decoration Bolt" is pulled by the Piston. Lets say, you release the Trigger, when the Piston is pulled back not the full way, and the ARL engages (i think this is called Half triggering=. The Piston will stay in its position, and that will block the BOlt from going forward the full way, and then you can see, that the bolt doenst close all the way. Does this gun have another system, where the shot is released even when trying to Half-Trigger?

@moty156 Hi. You wont find a hard kicking M4 except the marui Shock Recoil one. This is because theres not enough space for a Heavy Bolt between the Gearbox and the Reciever. So normally, BlowBack on a M4 is only a bolt mover, and it makes a nice sound but no recoil. Marui has redesigned the whole Gearbox, and fitted a heavy alluminium Weight inside the Reciever. It has about the recoil of the G36K in the Vid. But if you want real recoil, go for a Gas/CO² BlowBack M4, like the Innokatsu one.
@ekici123 WE brass tube guns were never meant to shoot full auto. They shoot damn hard and precise, and were intended for milsim and training purpose for armys and organsiations.
But the Open Bolt system is much better. You can shoot 18 mags trough the WE G36 without any problem(as long as you dont shoot more then 30 rds just like in real life)
So basically Id never buy any gun that sounds like an eletric toy for kiddies and shoots hundreds of BBs down the range. Thats just redicilous
@FloChris no need to get condescending with words like 'electric toys for kiddies', i own air cocking rifle, a gas blowback m4, tm sopmod m4 and a few regular aegs, if you're looking for performance, there is no debate that regular aegs are way better than gbbs, simply put, if you bring a gbb to a regular airsoft game, even on semi auto rule with ammo restriction, you will be outranged. gbbs have their place in milsim games, but those don't come around often.
@aaron4820 tare arent outranged. In games with Lowcap mag rules they beat almost every AEG. WEs are damn accurate and powerful. The only advatage AEGs have is that people just LOADS of Bbs and will always hit something. In my opinion not something worth to be proud of
@moty156 well, this is way cheaper, and many other brand now offers blowbacks, such as most Top Tech (G&G, very high quality brand with pneumatic system). however, the TM SOPMOD, SOCOM and the new SCAR also offers bolt stop function, which means your gun stops firing when it's empty, also there is no BB wastage, every BB feeds. but in terms of kick, to be honest as a sopmod owner, it's more of a little tap on your shoulder, nice but no where near as satisfying as my gbb m4.
would redwolf airsoft by any chance be capable of doing an in depth review of the Modify Tremors M4 AEG recoil kit? you guys do a great job with your reviews of equipment and i'd very much appreciate a technical review of this gearbox modification
FPS isn't important!!! What is important is the quality of the gearbox, as wel as the hop-up and barrel. What I'm getting at is that many TM's can outrange 400FPS JG clones because their stock barrel's have great tolerances, and their hop-up buckings are kickass. They will also often last for hundreds of thousands of rounds whereas stock high FPS clone gun might break within 50-80k. One more thing: Lower FPS means lighter spring. Lighter spring means less stress on gearbox. It's not a bad thing!
@adadqgg The point is not "range", so much as it is longevity of the gun, as well as safety for other people. If you want range, build up a VSR-10 or L96. Honestly, I don't give a shit what you do. But if you decide to try to get on my field with a gun shooting OMGWTF700FPS13370RZ, do me a favor and just stay home.
@SpartanDoctrine From experience, 280fps TM also breaks tooth and embed bb into skin. If I want range I would get a classic with BV engine + a quality LRB + full-steel/brass internal parts + HPA rig.
Logevity? Classic will out last your life if taken care of(matter of fact: most of the good Classic guns leftover from before the time of AEG are STILL functioning well).
Ever heard of MED? If you try to get a guy by rushing into his MED you will STILL be shot, because MED is for him to not CQB.

Also, FPS alone does not effective range make. FPS = range, NOT ACCURACY. The reason TM is a great choice for the two is simply because the tolerances of their stock inner barrels are extremely consistent, and their buckings are OEM'd by PDI, and so they are top-notch.

hey what's the best one piece version 2 gear box you can get? cause kwa doesn't sell just a gear box. cause i have a g&p m160 motor and i need to slow it down because the speed and power combined with a 9.6 volt battery are more than an echo 1 gear box can handle.

@Str8KillersAirsoft That is standart for TM...but don´t worry, TM uses it´s special kind of magic to make it shoot as far and as accurate as 350+ weapons. The BB moves slower, but it will reach and hit it´s mark.
And as long as you don´t mess with it, the Gearbox holds a lifetime.

can somone help me out? im looking for a gun that can be excelent as a sniper rifle (for 50 to 75 feet or so) but also a very good assault rile. i play with my brother in some these woods, where there is alot of high ground, and sniping is my speacialty, but games always end with close quarter shootings, so i dont want a slow reloader with high FPS when we get close.. Why does the Bolt go forward after every single Burst? Normally, sometimes it will stay in the middle or so. Does this gun ahve another system?

What are you talking about?
G36 fires from a closed bolt, the automatic cycle always finishes with the bolt forward (closed).
Some weapons fire from and open bolt leaving the cycle ending on a bolt in the rear position. There is no action that ends the cycle with the bolt in the middle, that just makes no sense. If an AEG does that, its just cheap, defective or broken.

@redwolfairsoft Its the thing, that the "Decoration Bolt" is pulled by the Piston. Lets say, you release the Trigger, when the Piston is pulled back not the full way, and the ARL engages (i think this is called Half triggering=. The Piston will stay in its position, and that will block the BOlt from going forward the full way, and then you can see, that the bolt doenst close all the way. Does this gun have another system, where the shot is released even when trying to Half-Trigger?

@moty156 Hi. You wont find a hard kicking M4 except the marui Shock Recoil one. This is because theres not enough space for a Heavy Bolt between the Gearbox and the Reciever. So normally, BlowBack on a M4 is only a bolt mover, and it makes a nice sound but no recoil. Marui has redesigned the whole Gearbox, and fitted a heavy alluminium Weight inside the Reciever. It has about the recoil of the G36K in the Vid. But if you want real recoil, go for a Gas/CO² BlowBack M4, like the Innokatsu one.

@ekici123 WE brass tube guns were never meant to shoot full auto. They shoot damn hard and precise, and were intended for milsim and training purpose for armys and organsiations.
But the Open Bolt system is much better. You can shoot 18 mags trough the WE G36 without any problem(as long as you dont shoot more then 30 rds just like in real life)
So basically Id never buy any gun that sounds like an eletric toy for kiddies and shoots hundreds of BBs down the range. Thats just redicilous

@FloChris no need to get condescending with words like 'electric toys for kiddies', i own air cocking rifle, a gas blowback m4, tm sopmod m4 and a few regular aegs, if you're looking for performance, there is no debate that regular aegs are way better than gbbs, simply put, if you bring a gbb to a regular airsoft game, even on semi auto rule with ammo restriction, you will be outranged. gbbs have their place in milsim games, but those don't come around often.

@moty156 well, this is way cheaper, and many other brand now offers blowbacks, such as most Top Tech (G&G, very high quality brand with pneumatic system). however, the TM SOPMOD, SOCOM and the new SCAR also offers bolt stop function, which means your gun stops firing when it's empty, also there is no BB wastage, every BB feeds. but in terms of kick, to be honest as a sopmod owner, it's more of a little tap on your shoulder, nice but no where near as satisfying as my gbb m4.

FPS isn't important!!! What is important is the quality of the gearbox, as wel as the hop-up and barrel. What I'm getting at is that many TM's can outrange 400FPS JG clones because their stock barrel's have great tolerances, and their hop-up buckings are kickass. They will also often last for hundreds of thousands of rounds whereas stock high FPS clone gun might break within 50-80k. One more thing: Lower FPS means lighter spring. Lighter spring means less stress on gearbox. It's not a bad thing!

@SpartanDoctrine From experience, 280fps TM also breaks tooth and embed bb into skin. If I want range I would get a classic with BV engine + a quality LRB + full-steel/brass internal parts + HPA rig.
Logevity? Classic will out last your life if taken care of(matter of fact: most of the good Classic guns leftover from before the time of AEG are STILL functioning well).
Ever heard of MED? If you try to get a guy by rushing into his MED you will STILL be shot, because MED is for him to not CQB.

Also, FPS alone does not effective range make. FPS = range, NOT ACCURACY. The reason TM is a great choice for the two is simply because the tolerances of their stock inner barrels are extremely consistent, and their buckings are OEM'd by PDI, and so they are top-notch.
