vickery was great in the third test. in the first he was next to lee mears and there was a height imbalance. plus the referee just took the boks side so when ever anything in the scrum went wrong he penalised vickery

If vickery is better than ADAM JONES why was he droped for the second test. What has Ian McGeechan ( an outside half who knows nothing about the scrum) done in the professional game. Jim Aitken grand slam winning PROP (who knows a thing or two about the scrum) said Ian McGeechan ruined rugby in Scotland. Ian McGeechan appointed matt williams as scotland coach, a great appointment that was. Ian McGeechan who rated quinlan as better than croft. One of the best managers seen i doubt it.

2. when scrums are going wrong the referee tends to get fixated on the idea of it being one prop getting it wrong. did you know that since the game the first test referee has apologised to vickery for incorrectly giving penalties against him when both were at fault at different times?

also, vickery came back and out-scrummaged the beast in the third test when he had a more powerful second row behind him

You say with a bigger second row and and hooker he did better, every prop does better with a bigger pack around him. If he is not as good as ADAM JONES who is first rate that makes him second rate.

vickery is a world cup winning, heineken cup winning, premiership winning, 73 times england international, who has played in 5 lions tests. he is nearing the end of his career so is probably not quite the force he once was, but if adam jones acheives anything like the success of vickery then he will be extremely happy. quite how you can call him second rate is beyone me.
