  • are you all fucking idiots how is this racist, i mean are you so badly fucking brain raped that you believe anything that has apes is racist, your are all serious dumb fucks just enjoy this great music, see now you made me ruin the comments section

  • @SupaNathan1

    Right you are sir

  • 0.37 The 4 mokeys look like the beatles

  • thumbs up if u r not a racial cunt n love the song

  • I hate myself for loving the monkey bit of the movie so much, despite it being quite apparently racist.

  • I like the "cousin" expression, I am glad to call apes part of my extended family, screw creationists.

  • The Apes represent black people btw. Racist Disney.

  • @jpcarl Most people were racist back then, it was commonplace, Disney was normal for its time, Warner Bros Looney Tunes did just as many racist bits.

  • @jpcarl If it comes to a surprise to you that Disney is racist there is something wrong here. Disney is blatantly racist in almost every movie. Nonetheless they made some great films.

  • rofl it's so funny how baloo and king louie just talk jibberish to each other. especially when king loie says abadoibadoi at 2:40

  • ohh jeezz my favorite disney movie

  • love this it cheers me up

  • Did anyone else try to stretch their ear like that at 1:47?

  • i don't even need the sing along.

    by heart, man. by heart.

  • 0:12

    Song starts...

  • I love it when baloo realises he aint wearing his costume anymore lol

  • My parents used to call me Tarzan cuz I would never sit still. And I would always jump from one piece of furniture to another. I still love this movie! It's the best! Baloo is just awesome!

  • I still enjoy this movie despite the rampant racism.

  • I love king Louie

  • Baloo = Thomas O'malley

  • @Elien181 he was also Little John and many others

  • Always loved this movie, and the song (even though over-sensitive folk try to ruin it by pretending it's racist), the sequel was a bit of a let-down though.

  • @kev95 sequel never knew there was a sequel wot it bout

  • @kebabpie Just wiki it, I would'nt recommend buying it, rent it if you really want to see it.

  • omg i didnt know that the voice on beloo was the same voice of thomas o' malley.! Wow. :)

  • i love how this dance scene with baloo and louie reminds me of the scene with little john and lady kluck in disney's robin hood. same dance moves. lol

  • @penguinlady01: robin hood came after this; because of walt's passing & the war, robin hood recycled animation.

  • I'm gone, man! Solid gone! xD

  • HEY! azanban roni, hap da deeba daba dapban rone, henu baby ed du sabaduda daydo bop, da do pa day, sa bone, so bapbap babe habado dee well a ripanaze ebadobadoy well a lapazini woulaobap, webadobob zebalala dadodey oh oh oh oh - ha ha ha ha rrrr rrrr get mad baby! had ala dala dala da well a had-ladada-lododode hodolodo de doo a zooka da da da da da douldegoo douldegoo a zipada hapada! :D

  • this i my favriote song

  • I almost broke my face when I was younger trying to jump rope with my arms ;_;

  • @pmunkyandpals11 I literally LoLed when you said that lol I've tried it too and almost broke my fingers

  • "Great, part of this song doesn't have real words so have fun with it!" That made me laugh soooo hard!

  • king louie was the first beat boxer!!! :D

  • I used to have this video when i was a kid... loved it to pieces :)

  • 1:31 ChewbaccaChewbaccaChewbaccaChewbacca

  • @chibidw haha you're awesome!!!

  • my childhood <3

  • Annoying Little Shite Keep Talking In the Middle

  • Wow, this is about black people learning everything they know from the white man.. That Disney... xD

  • @dIRECTOR259

Mowghli(or however you spell it) is indian. The movie is based on a book, which was not made by disney.

When you're desperate to find it you can find any meaning you want in anything. Doesn't mean it was really intended.

  • I love this movie ! :D

  • Oh mama dont make me no meatloaf, forget the mac and cheese, I want some fun piled on a bun I wanna manwitch please!

  • I hope they play this now, do they?

  • zzzzzzbbluidfaedfefihn CHEWBAKA CHEWBAKA CHEWBAKA

  • The description says this video is for criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship and research purposes. It's been 3 years, and you've done none of these. Let's get it out of the way now...

Criticism: Disney rarely, if ever, had any original concepts of their own

Comment: Some damn catchy songs I enjoyed as a child.

News reporting: Poachers take over Indian ruins?

Scholarship: This will be useful for a Jungle Book Studies degree.

Research: Ditto the phenomenon of talking monkeys.

  • How is a monkey singing about being human racist?

  • 1:32 i can picture Jonathan Davis from KoRn singing that

  • first movie i saw in theaters was 2-3 no wonder i love music stuff like this

  • i like the little kute monkey playing the leaf awww

  • i love how King Louie jump ropes with his arms!!!!Thumbs up if you do to!

  • @kkqqis yup, i did it as well.

  • @ 1:31 is it just me, or does Louie say chewbacca several times?

  • @Jdaniel314 It's not just you lol, I swear he says that. lol

  • @Jdaniel314 I can just imagine George Lucas slowing that part down, rewinding it several times and saying, “Yeah, that’s a good character name.”

  • best song going this;)

  • Love this song, Love King Louie, Love Love Love Love Love Lovce Love. 'Cause I wanna be like youuuu

  • To everyone.. Stop being racist! Dammit ! Can't we all just enjoy the video! One of the greatest flims of my childhood, or wats left of it, and I'll be damned if anyones gonna ruin it for me now!!!! >:(

  • to the 2 people arguing please dont spoil it for others.. i'd like to keep my childhood innocent about this vid and not be tainted by racist attitudes!! good vid for memorys of childhood when the world wasnt so vicious in my eyes :)

  • I used to have this sing along on VHS! lol

  • Disney is so rascist! That's why I look up musicals of my own free will and argue with everyone so I can keep high on my pedistal and make sure those idiots know that they are wrong in everything they do! Go me!

  • @TheBedopear Oh, you have me perfectly. Go you.

  • If you really want to see something racist then on youtube type in its mothafuckin ramadan charlie brown

  • 1:08 - 1:17 LOL!

  • Baloo's a cross dresser! LMAO! :D

  • As Freud would say "Sometimes a cigar is only a cigar"

  • While we're at why don't we include Baloo as a cross dressing homosexual bear? Come on people this is set in India first of all. No Africans or Americans! I suspect that the dude that sung the song was selected for his awesome jazz and scat style not because he was "colored" using the vernacular of the time. It would probably be more fair to talk about King Louie in evolutionary terms & then we can get Creationists angry too. Rudyard Kipling believed in the rich helping the poor not ruling them

  • @MrPleasemakesense Actually, that's swing (nice pun, too) - and the dude is sicillian-american who grew up in New Orleans, so why his accent is supposed to be black is beyond me.

  • THIS IS HOW THE RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES STARTED!

  • @chopchop8916 They were so layed back then. When did they turn into such dicks?

  • @chopchop8916 You mean humanity?!?!

  • LOL i just love this. crazy man, crazy!

  • This was made in the 1960's. Let's face it, it wasn't a time when blacks were loved. Don't be so surprised when you look back and think, wow, that was some fucked up shit. It's the product of its era. Look at now, the majority of people in media are too scared to say anything remotely politically incorrect because they're afraid they'll get torn a new one. I don't condone racism, but some people are that politically correct they're worse then racists are now.

  • @MrHurpadur Amen. Thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • The little monkey cracks me up, lol.

  • i luv this song!

  • The racism in this scene alone makes me laugh. I'd love to see this try to get away with all the censorship we have now. XD

  • @NJxMurderxScene u prat! what racism? they are all animals apart from the paki boy.

  • @glenn41062 How can Y-O-u NOT see it? Old Disney movies and other cartoons are FILLED with racism, sexism, and all the other "-isms whether blunt or indirect." Do your research.

  • @NJxMurderxScene What are you talking about? Der furhrers face was anti-nazi propaganda, And what sexism? The elephant is against a woman leading his patrol at a point in the movie and the girl sings about family roles, you are aware what year this was made right? The very notion that a wife would stand up to the husband was a laughable notion at the time.

I fail to see how monkeys swinging to a jazzy beat is racist. You are just looking for things to find offensive. Prat.

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx @xGHOSTXRECONx I guess I'm a prat for failing to understand how you cannot see the racism in this scene or any other cartoon. I guess the crows in Dumbo were just doing scat rather than "acting in a manner stereotypically assigned to African-Americans."

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx Also, see cracked(dot)com and serach for racist Disney. King Louie is on the list at #6. If you're too lazy or too much of an ignorant cad that you don't see for yourself. I'll show you an excerpt here...

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx *search.

Having outgrown the crude portrayal of African-Americans as black crows, in 1967 Disney decides to portray them as monkeys instead. All animals in the jungle speak in proper British accents. Except, of course, for the jive-talking, gibberish-spouting monkeys. Did we mention they desperately want to become "real people?"

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx It ends with this:

Fine, so an ape singing, "I wanna be like you" might be a little subtle, in a "we own multiple copies of Catcher in the Rye" conspiracy theory kind of way. Still, considering the author of the The Jungle Book also thought up "the white man's burden", we don't think it's too much of a stretch.

    Who's the prat now?

  • @NJxMurderxScene You. Its an ape who wants to human, its people like you who's half the reason racism still exists.

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx I'm not even racist. I'm saying that, at the time, it was considered the norm. That's all. I, on the other-hand, don't like ignorance. But your opinion is your own. I presented the facts and if you still want to think Disney is innocent, then that's your opinion. I don't care. It's a goddamn Disney sing-a-long. I'm just going to enjoy the song my way & you go enjoy it your way. 'Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.'

  • @NJxMurderxScene Your part in it is that you find "subliminal racist messages" in anything even if there isn't any. I know Walt wasn't innocent but this isn't racist at all. If the message was that blacks are basically monkeys why would they sing it to a paki boy?

    Jesus Christ man.

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx I presented the facts to you. It's your choice to be the ignorant cad and ignore them. That's not my problem. & by the way, no one uses the word "paki" anymore because it's considered racist. Oh, but I'm the bad guy because I said King Louie in the Jungle Book is a form of racism? Mmkay.

Fun Fact: You're ignorant as hell and all your comments make me lol at your dumb ass. :-)

  • @NJxMurderxScene I do use it, because like most people I don't give a fuck. And you are the bad guy, there is NOTHING racist about a monkey singing that he wants to be human, all you are doing is playing to the insult that Blacks are considered monkeys, you are using the insult and you are keeping it alive, not the movie. Get off your high horse and do something productive, not keep racism alive by finding "subliminal messages" where there are none.

You presented no facts, just warped views.

  • @xGHOSTXRECONx That's your opinion. I don't give a shit about this debate anymore You have your opinions and I have mine.. Like I said, it's a goddamn Disney sing-a-long. Take a chill pill and just enjoy the fucking video.

  • im pretty sure that if you are trying to make a racist argument over a damn disney cartoon, also over the internet.then you sir, have no intellectual facts to not only represent your case and point, but make you seem like nothing more then an angry low life basterd who is trying to get reprimends by drawing the racist card, and exspect nothing but sympathy. dont go preaching your twisted morals to everyone when you dont even have so much as a spec of proof that anything disney represented is racist

  • @vibroxation First off, I'm a female so, I laugh at you calling me "sir." If you read everything posted on this, you would know I presented facts. Hell, I presented an article listing the racist cartoons in order, making King Louie #6. It's not my fault everyone, including yourself, choose to ignore them and see Disney as innocent. It IS racist whether you want to believe it or not. I gave up weeks ago on trying to prove it. I know I'm right. Others know I'm right. That's all that matters.

  • @NJxMurderxScene haha dumb racist bitch. go QQ somewhere else.honestly im not racist myself, im just saying people who cry out racist just cuz life may seem any unfair, is just pathetic. and especially having to spread that argument out over youtube is far more inclusive and obstruct.also when i watched these movies as a child, i could never have seen it that way, still today, i dont think they intended to input "racist scenes and characters" into thier films.btw, you just have an opinion.

  • @vibroxation I'm not a racist. If you knew anything about the history & the making of cartoons, from Disney to Looney Tunes to Hanna Barbera, you would know that up until around 1969, racism was the norm in cartoons. People didn't even think about it because of how normal it was. It's everywhere if you know where to look.

As I said earlier, it's a goddamn Disney sing-a-long. Just shut up and enjoy the song if you're too ignorant to see the subliminal message in this as well as others.

  • @NJxMurderxScene: stereotypes =/= racism; people getting offended over stereotypes & becoming angerily violent over them = racism; disney was no different than anyone else, following the customs & norms of the time, "racist" or not.

  • @TherealRNO Once again, it's a sing-a-long clip from The Jungle Book. I'll watch it in the way I want and you do the same. I'm tired of dealing with ignorant people thinking I'm racist because of a damn comment I made and even backed up with evidence to prove my point. I just don't give a fuck. I'll adore the Golden Age Cartoon era how I desire. & you can do the same.

  • @NJxMurderxScene nice one mate

  • @NJxMurderxScene U make me laugh with UR ignorance. If anything, your comment alone sounds extremely racist. Are you equating monkeys with a certain race? Perhaps you consider a jazz beat and laid back scat style to be offensive? The only person I see in this clip is an Indian kid.

  • @Mr420Caliguy First off, we all passed first grade. You can spell it correctly. Don't be lazy. YOu make me laugh with YOur ignorance. Secondly, I love jazz. From Cab Calloway to Janis Joplin to BB King. Amazing music. Have you never seen an older Disney cartoon? They (almost) all have some forum of racism whether it's bluntly out there, like Donald Duck's Der Furhrer's Face to the censored Fantasia scene. It's everywhere. I'm not even racist. I find cartoon racism funny though. That's all I said

  • Beatboxing @ 1:30... this is why Classic Disney's cool!

  • Almost all the dance moves are the same in The Aristocats and Robin Hood! :o.

    Phil Harris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <33333.

  • I loved his solo, ugh I keep trying to copy it, but it's bloody impossible

  • Comment removed

    just sayin'

  • @PivotPiAnimations why???

  • @PivotPiAnimations I'd say Donald duck is more racist...in Who Framed Roger Rabit Daffy called him dispicable and donald answered 'God d*mn f*cking n*gger'

  • @PivotPiAnimations I don't see why. They're all voiced by jazz musicians and they're singing a jazz number. Nothing wrong here!

  • @PivotPiAnimations BTW everyone, I didn't actually make the list. I just saw it on the web while doing a school project about racism in children's cartoons.

  • Is that Lewis Armstrong doing King Louie's voice?

  • @PinkPunkyKat No its Louis Prima.

  • @MusicWhore23 Louis Prima was King Louie, Sebastian Cabot was Bagheera, & Phil Harris was Baloo. There was a video of Louie's orchestra dancing to this when it was scored. They SOUND like they were having a Big Time, 'cause they WERE.

  • i miss the old disney...when i was 5 years old

  • This is my jam! I love how Disney songs always seemed metaphorical..."At the top and I had to stop and that's whats bothering me"...I can so relate.
