Its people like this that represent airsofters, i admit im also a bit of a paintballer myself, but last year a 5 year old boy was killed while playing with a paintball gun. airsoft doesnt have too many of those maybe about 2 a year

@ERATvPS3 Sb 798 was a law nearly passed in California that would require all airsoft to be bright neon colors and that would kill the sport for a lot people and probably end it in america because most of Americas airsoft is based in southern California(correct me if i am wrong).

Arrested for a dangerous weapon on school grounds. That is messed up. These kids will have that on their record. These are toy guns and are not directly dangerous. All they did was violate a school policy and everyone overreacted. This should have been taken care of by the school not the police.lol Even the news made it out to be a situation where disaster was narrowly averted.

My bro did the same exact thing at his school, the principle didnt call the cops but suspended him for 4 weeks. since i felt bad for him and since my parents work at the school and have the keys to the school and to EVERY room. i one night went to school went to principles office, rummaged through her shit in her desk drawers and got the gun back. my brother today continues to honor and worship me since his thought would be destroyed very expensive toy came back.

Whether its a fake gun or a real one, it is wrong to bring it to school.
However, arresting them for it is excessive.
It should have been handled in-house: detentions or suspensions would have been sufficient punishments for this infraction.

No, its really right. Im an airsoft player and have very realistic copies of guns myself, but i would never _ever_ come with them to public, coz Id expect others including cops to expect them to be real. Also, those are quire dangerous if you dont wear safety glasses. Those kinds are danger for themselves and others.

Look, you're to young to remember. When I was a kid, if you brought a fake gun to school it got taken away from you and you got it back at the end of the day. Maybe you got a detention, maybe a note was sent home to your parents & you got yelled at. Either way, it was no big deal & you sure as shit didn't get arrested.
