  • any thoughts on how the osc 02 compares with the osc in the 202? how many octaves can it track? what's the minimum frequency you can get? can't find answers to these basic questions anywhere. the price on these seems too good to be true.. thanks for any help.

  • @squeakyfromme69 the OSC02 is for me a really good vco to get that "vintage analog" sound. It can sound really similar to japanese vintage monos like korg MS/Roland SH/Yamaha CS if you use the "right" filter.

From the front panel you can switch the octv from 32" to 4" , but with cv control you have no limits.

It can track easily 4 or 5 octv.

The onnly limit is that the FM capabilities are a bit limited and you ha to use cv to control the pw/pwm.

The ring mod is great sounding!

  • @xtal202 sounds like a really good deal then. thanks for the info!

  • @xtal202 brilliant thanks - i have done some digging and found it!

    Hi! :-D

it is a vst from Smartelectronics and it's free!

  • Yes it is!

  • Is it possible to use the VCO without a incoming CV?

  • Do you like the OSC-02? I'm thinking to get this low cost VCO as well. But I'm a little bit afraid of the 'phatness'...did you a comparison before you bought it?

    BTW: Thanks for the demo.
