I live close to the city where this was shot, driving in snow isn't that bad. Though cars crashing and going into the ditch is common. The main thing is just to know how to drive in the snow. It snowed 6" last week I managed a 15 mile drive on unplowed roads in my front wheel drive car. I passed 4 cars in the ditch. Almost got stuck 3 times, but I made it.

I'm glad I live up here though. I always drift around in the snowy parking lots. In Cali. I would die in the heat. LOL

@Kendo506 I know that's a year old comment, but you're making an error in reasoning.

It's not that you should drive the speed limit (which are arbitrary) or some deviation of it, it's that you should drive the speed that allows you to maintain control of your car.

Whether or not that happens to be the speed selected by the state for that road is irrelevant. This is why speed limits are a worthless endeavor; people should be taught to judge how fast to drive on a road under conditions, not law.

@GManNickG You are correct. I had just gotten my license about a year ago, so I didn't really know what i was talking about lol. I understand that now, considering that every car handles differently in snow/ice. We just recently had a bad ice storm where i live, so I discovered first hand what it's like. Hell, everyone was even driving only about 20miles per hour on the highway because had it been any faster, there would have been a bad pileup, no doubt. But thank you for the reply. ^^

Well where I live, highways have large enough shoulders so a car can pull over without being in the way at all, so it's kind of like a lane lol.
