One of these butterflies will accent the flower appliques, all in Red Heart yarn, for chihuahua sweaters I have been desiging and making for my daughter's little dogs. Thanks ever so much for a deceptively easy pattern but with very dramatic results. I have purched the thin barrel-like washable beads for antennae which will be sewn on/glue-secured before attaching to prevent poking the dog or rusting. Love the design as it is and could see it on a gift I.E.
The variegated thread is such a good idea for making the little butterflies colorful! So cute! I wonder how they would look made with regular worsted and a larger hook to embellish the tiebacks on my granddaughters' curtains? Hmmm.. What could I use for antennae, pipe cleaners maybe?
i can barely see what you are doing? Some of the time you are off the camera and if you could show how you wrap the beginning better I would greatly appreciate it. Can't you try to do it on a larger scale so we can see clearer what you are doing. Thxs.
These are so adorable!!! I love these!!!! I have only crocheted once in my life. lol My mom taught my brother & I how to crochet some ornaments to put on our huge Christmas tree because we didn't have enough ornaments to fill it. lol I will never forget that. I haven't crocheted since then. Not that I didn't want to, but I just never took time to learn. I think I am going to try to do some of these. :) I will let you know when I do them. This is going to be interesting! hehe
@123cardmaker Oh don't stop making videos because of a comment like this. There will always be a grammar-nazi or someone that thinks they need to run out and educate the world. It's not mislabeling, it's just a name you chose for it. Like once I knew this girl named Hunter.. she did not hunt, she was JUST named hunter! I'm just saying, label your creations however you want. =)
@TezzyDarling Grammar-nazi? I was trying to help. By labeling it that way, she looked really stupid to people who know what micro miniature art is. The video is fine. There's a difference in figurative speech and an actual claim. "Hunter", who isn't a hunter, is speaking figuratively. Micro is an actual claim. IOW's , it's not true, it's false advertising. You might like false advertising, I don't. The label was misleading. My search brought me here because it was mis-labled.
Donna, I love your butterflys. I hold my thread differently but I like the way you do it. I love your tag and I hope we are in the same group so I can get one. Beautifully done! Patti
These are the CUTEST little butterflies.....Thanks for the late night emergency visit last night to help me learn how to make those. Mother that tag ROCKS!!!!!! It is sooooooo BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Even more so in person!!! You are AWESOME!!! Love you Amy
Donna...your little butterflies are wonderful! I've made some myself and the patterns have been ridiculously complicated! lol Yours was terrific! Love the trick with pulling the thread to form the ring! Your tag is gorgeous! Thank you so much for your sharing!...Nancy :o)
Sorry I may have missed this information some where in your vid., but what kind of string, yarn, or floss are you using and whar size crochet needle? They are so cute and seem pretty easy to make for those of us who maybe a little crochet challenged.
Your butterflies are adorable!!!! You are soooo crafty!!! And your tag is beautiiiiiiful! Crocheting is not my talent. BTW I want to thank you again for the crochet flowers! They are the nicest flowers I have ever seen!
These are so cute!! I wish I didn't have retarded fingers as far as crocheting goes.
Believe, over many years, many people have tried, but.... it's not my talent. I so admire anyone that can! kudos Donna. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Your butterflies are awesome. Thanks for showing us how you made them. I think even I can do that! I also love your tag. You flower is the perfect touch. JIL

a darling idea, but you're working off the camera for part of it, nor do you mention what yarn/thread/hook you're using
