I absolutely love this movie. It's tough to watch at times, because the religious intolerance is so sickening, but I think it's an excellent portrayal of what was going on at the time.

Not to mention Jean and Julien are adorable together! When Jean is taken away at the end my heart breaks D:

I will never stop loving this movie. The only thing is that it's hard for me to watch. It's extremely depressing and I cry during the last scene every time. It's one of those movies everyone should watch at some point.

I like a lot this film too, but i try to watch it just one time a year because it's very sad and i want to keep this movie apart.

Also i'm french and when i was young my school looked like this one (though it was not during the war and i'm not that old), it's a very touching film for me.
