@masterapmark 2.5.2 and it is kinda late because i lost most interest in actualy using it but not to late cus i still have the problem.....might try to use it again if i get an answer ^^
but Im having a slight issue, I cant see the background image...Im using v2.49a on a 2003 XP, and Ive never had this problem before until now. I had to do a full system restore about 6 months ago and I had Blender on it before then and the background image loaded fine. Any help with this issue would be nice ^w^
@kilala1148 Might be a late reply, make sure you are in the right view mode, Front view I guess, and make sure your background image settings are correct.
@masterapmark I should have posted this a while ago, I fixed the problem. I had to do a system restore and re-download some sytem components {old computer =.=}, thank you anyway ^w^
@Kakutachi Click view, properties, look for background images, check the box, click the triangle beside it, then a folder icon must be clicked then find ur file. after that do to your desired view, either press 1 or 3 on your num pad. after that click 5 on your num pad. the image should appear.
Another question, so I started doing your samus model and im at about 5 minutes in and im watching you extrude and move your vertices, but your able to keep everything exactly straight down the middle, so it doesn't separate the mirror image, is there a quick key to make sure the line is straight or do you you have to spend hours making sure each line is perfectly straight.
Um I'm really confused D: When you're modeling the shapes for your character, the other side you duplicated (the one on side view) has blocks as well, like it's an actual body. My screen on front view has the body block things, but the side view one doesn't D: Only one of them does, and that's the first block I made :( What Now?
Peter, the "how to" reset the 3d Cursor hot key is not shown at 4:26. To anyone who's wandering how "how to" press Shift+C. It resets the 3d Cursor to 0'0'0, and also adjust camera to show all present objects.
I really need to know how you closed up that hole in the bottom, because I seriously can't figure that one out. All I saw was the cutter tool and then... something magical that closed up the hole in the bottom.
Could you please tell us what commands we have to use to fill up the bottom? Because it isn't really clear right now, and the bottom looks silly with the hole in it :P
I'm sorry, but is there a step I missed? I'm following yours, word for word, but when I go to move my box (to start shaping it) I have to move each little corner... NOTHING like yours... what's going on? D:
Just a little tip... select "Do Clipping" on the mirror modifier, this way the center vertices do not leave the center and you don't need to worry again with scaling the mesh. I don't know if I explained it well, my english is not very good, just try it to see what it really do ;)
Argh, blender is a pain in the back using my laptop. It doesn't have a numpad, so some of the keyboard shortcuts are gone, and there's no mousewheel for convenient zoom.
goto: user preferences/system & OpenGL/ Emulate Keyboard. This switches those number buttons to view presets instead of layers :) I think I'd shoot myself trying to use my laptop without a mouse for anything haha I know what you mean
You may have been using the box select (b) or brush select (b,b) to select the vertices so they don't have a selection order. Try selecting them one by one instead.
What I do is use the box or brush select to get most of the vertices I need, then select the last one with shift-Rclick. That's good enough to get the "at last" option to work.
The music in the background sounds like ParagonX9
