  • Yep, Voyager was my absolute favorite.

  • i´m not actually a big voyager fan, but this intro is the moset beautiful of all the star trek series. love the music.

  • i honestly liked tng and voyager, but i have this warm feeling when i watch this intro, that i dont have when i watch tng. sooo, i think voyager wins?

  • missing voyager so much .... one of the best tv childhood memories

  • star trek sucks trololo

  • gives me chills every time i watch it.

  • @ollie7169 omfg that comment made me laugh so hard I had tears

  • How inspiring.

  • In the wise words of Homer Simpson : "Oh Captain Janeway! Your mission ended too soon!"

  • There was a review I heard a while back, and a statement I agree with. If Janeway wasn't the captain to start off with, but was a fairly new first officer on her first starship assignment who got put into the position of command after Voyager's captain was killed when the Caretaker brought them over, I think we might have had a bit more drama in the show.

  • @doubleg137 Good idea

  • i loved voyager. probably the most funny too, the doctor is an awesome character. i think it ended too arguably but it was a good ending.

  • I never liked Star Trek, but I have to say Voyager is pretty epic and I kinda like it.

  • Can someone tell me if Voyager is worth watching? The first episode made go "FUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOUUUU!!" because it started the SAME way as the DS9 first episode, and the rest was boring shlock. I didn't even finish it.

  • @YesWeCantaloupe I really liked Voyager a lot, but some people I know hate it for their own reasons. I say give it a shot, at least past the first couple of episodes. The character development doesn't really happen until after the two crews become more integrated.

  • Oh Janeway Your Voyage Ended To Soon... : (

  • This film remmenber the Portuguese voyager´s of 15th and 16 century´s,,,, but of course in that time they haven´t space ship´s and warp drives,, lol

  • imma guy but....still crying from nostalgia loll

  • 1 of the best intro i've seen.Not a Star Trekkie though.

  • I never noticed how small that ringged planet must be to get that huge reflection of Voyager in the rings

  • The best Star Trek series in every way! Never really liked any other series, never really even liked star trek before voyager.

This intro and music is way better as well.

  • if people would study the philosophy of star trek..maybe there will be no more wars over oil and shit like that in the arabian countries... it just saddens me that not everyone is wise enough to take some time and listen to what man wanted to explain to humanity.. RIP Gene Roddenberry

  • ahh yes, voyager, where they lose a shuttle every week. How many freaking shuttles are in the back of that ship???

  • @PeyoteIguana Maybe they have a shuttle replicator xD

  • Loooove this series! I'm a little young to have watched them as they came out lol, but i definitely remember falling in love with the show when i was a kid, curling up in front of the Tv and watching the reruns :)

  • Meine absolute Lieblingsserie - ich hoffe dass es bald wieder neue Abenteuer geben wird!!

  • @dankrug572 The fuck

  • que buenos recuerdos se agradese muy bueno

  • They have all the seasons on Netflix! I'm watching them now.

  • I miss them, maybe we could have Voyager and the technology from the future with Sigorney Weaver as new captain !

  • God I miss this series, I hope they make a new and improved Voyager.

  • @angelusice I love this series. It would be hard to improve on that cast if they made a new one.

  • This makes me choke up a bit. When I was a little kid, I'd sit by my dad to watch this intro and was amazed at how beautiful and vast the universe is. Now we don't live together anymore and aren't as close as we were then. I've always been more of a Star Wars kid but Star Trek (especially this intro) always reminds me of him and the times we spent together. Just as that ship went so far away at the end...Our relationship kinda did the same thing. I'm 18 now and want to change that.

  • Hands down the best theme yet.

  • This is my favourite Star Trek opening, it's beautiful, lonely and sad.

  • This is not credible... all the aliens are no different to humans. =/

I think they should of added aliens like Hydralisks (don't get me wrong, I'm not a Star Craft fag).

  • @Condom007of007Solace

Q wasn't like a "human". He merely changes his shape to look like one.

But I do get your point, 99% of all aliens witnessed are humanoids :I

  • i wish i was ryu in space ... shoryuken in slow motion

  • voyager...

    forever the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can we please have a post Voyager star trek so we can see Janeway forever win any argument for the rest of her life by saying 'oh sorry did u get thrown into the delta quadrant & make it back with most the crew in just 7yrs, all the while kicking ass & taking names, not to mention treat the borg like a punching bag & deliver invaluable tactical info against them, yea didnt think so now shut up

  • as a kid watching this gave me inspiration to create not just space sci fi but just create and i thank the producers of shows like this for that.

34 dislikes wtf i dont care if you don't like star trek if this cant get you dreaming, imagining and hoping about where the future will take mankind then your just LOST and offer nothing to society your next you tube search will probably be lil wayne or kreayshawn music videos

  • i get goosebumps every time i hear this intro

  • Truly the most underated show of the star trek francise. Hope they give them a movie

  • I'm 14 and all summer long I've been watching Voyager on Netflix. The other series were good (haven't seen DS9), but Voyager is hands down the best because it's an actual story, not a collection of events that have little or nothing to do with each other. This show puts the drama in drama.

  • @TheCrimsonSabre

Well DS9 does get very much to be a continuous story with some great drama also, but sure.

  • Still get goosebumps.

  • star trek is so beautyful! people calls trekkies nerd but they dont see the real picture. star trek is a world where man is one. a word that i want.

  • @ZuperNovas so true

  • @ZuperNovas Star Trek is indeed excellent. Converted Trekkie since 2009 (As a Star Wars fan who doesn't appreciate all of George Lucas' recent 'ideas' I can understand some fans' frustration with the new Trek movie. Personally, I liked it, but I 'get' the people who hate it) Star Trek isn't completely perfect though- I mean humans aren't yet really perfect.

  • @ZuperNovas What I think is great about Star Trek is how it can communicate real useful lessons about the world we actually live in by describing the one we don't. Romulans? Borg? Klingons? Vulcans? How many of these so closesly resemble the real Human societies that have risen and fallen throughout our own planet's history?

  • @ZuperNovas Ha, we are nerds- proud too. I couldn't agree more.

  • Thumbs up if you're watching this In 2012

  • Classic show.

  • janeway wa on the rag most of the time = true

  • @dankrug572 I'm still watching it, even on Netflix! :)

  • this intro is, for me, the best of all star trek intros..and for the first time, woman is capetan...

  • Where are the lizards?

  • Tuvok...just rolls off the tongue!

  • Loved this show: "It's not the destination, it's the journey that matters..."

    Miss this extraordinary show badly...

  • HAAAAA Star Trek. pour moi la meilleur serie que j'ai connus. tout petit je regardais dégas les premiers épisodes. j'aime tout bonnement.

  • WY CRUWEL WORLD WY!!!!?!?!? NOW THERE IS GLEE AND DISNEY CHANEL BUT WHEN I WAS A KID I WATCHED THIS !!! I THINK KIDS ARE GOING RO BE SO IGNORANT THE COMING GENARATION DEAM!!!!

  • And now tv is flooded with shows like Glee, and Happily Divorced, disgusting.

  • @postapocalyptia This was my favorite ST as a kid.

  • Fuck((((((Its for baby

  • although i personally don't like voayger, i have to admit it has the best intro of any series ever

  • Love Star Trek Voyager. I was wondering, did anybody every see toilets on the starships ? ......

  • Ooooh, goosebumps!

  • Ah man,. I remember saturdays back then. This really could do with a cgi-boost though. Too bad all that fancy technology we have for that nowadays is wasted on shit like Avatar.

  • @Stalin111

    Random trivia!

There are six shots of Voyager in this intro, three are CGI, three are models, can you tell which are which?

  • @Usul573

    Hm. I'd say 00:27 01:07 and 01:33 are models.

  • Comment removed

  • @Stalin111

00:27 01:07 and 01:19 are models, the others are CGI.

It was some of the best CGI work for around 1995, in the actual show, they mostly used models until about mid season 3 in late 1996 then transitioned to almost entirely using CGI for ships.

I think most people watching didn't even realize they had switched.

  • @Usul573

I know. I remember watching it ias a child, every saturday afternoon. Compared to the clunky appearance of many, many other series it was stunning. Some parts are not bad for today even, others though look ridiculous. Well...fine show it was, the last true star trek TV show. And that music gives me goosebumps even today.

Oh crap, do you realize it has been ten years since it ended!?

  • @Stalin111

Certainly some parts hold up better than others.

Insane that it has been over for ten years, I didn't really get into watching any sci-fi though until about 2007 or so, partly because I guess I didn't have the patience or mental capacity until then.

  • @Usul573 Voyager was the only Star Trek Show I watched from beginning to end in its first showing... though somewhat later than it was shown in the US, being a kraut. Still, nothing will ever come close to TNG.

  • @Stalin111

Since I was 4 in 1995 I guess there was no real way for me to do that, I wonder, at what age do you think someone can watch and enjoy Star Trek?

  • @Stalin111 I was 13 when it ended... wow...

  • Also Voyager by far had the best finale of all the star treks. Plus it was great b/c the last 6 or so episodes were definitely some of the better more interesting episodes. Plus season 7 had two 2-parter episodes not counting the finale, which one of them was prob the best 2 part episode flesh & blood. Really ended the show with a bang

  • Its weird, I first started watching star trek I watched DS9 & thought it was awesome but I thought Voyager was so lame & I hated the characters & would only watch an episode if really bored but then one day I just started from the begining & now I dont know which I like better voyager or DS9

  • I'm watching this all over! :D

Currently at Season 3 Episode 21!

  • Whole entire series is on Netflix. Yahoo!!! I will be busy for many days.

  • worst star trek crew. and upn was shit.

  • Look what Star Trek once has been. VOY, DS9, TNG, even TOS...they were unique and something special. I watched all series and you can't say one of them is bad. But since the owners changed Star Trek went a complete different and in my opinion wrong way. I can just hope that one day we will get the Star Trek we all loved. This new covered ST is just a huge sell out.

  • this show hands down had the best intro out of all the star trek series

  • TNG or DS9 were better shows in my opinion, Voyager was also really good but not AS good. Nevertheless, this theme is amazing.

  • @zpucek for me its difficult to compare voyager to ds9. dont get me wrong, i liked ds9 but i liked voyager equally for its nearly constant focus on exploration. you could call voyager a poor man's tng. it brought back much of the magic from tng's focus on exploration but the overall package fell short of tng's presentation. what got me hooked on star trek in the first place (the original series) was its remarkable journey of exploration to find new species and seemingly unexplainable phenomenon.

  • The intro was really cool! Although I really like the beginning of second TNG intro (with the Milky way band, a star cluster and a proto star system.

The effects were good, and there were a few good episodes, but they lacked good actors like Stewart and Spinner, and the writing couldn't match some of the better episodes of TNG like Cause and Effect, Clues, Inner Light.

  • 31 people are Star Wars fans

  • @s29382820 Look, first of all, this "x amount of people are (insert stupid phrase here)" crap is getting really old.

Second, as someone who enjoys both Star Wars and Star Trek, I get really sick of everybody bickering over which is better. They have nothing in common. You may as well compare Star Trek to freaking Lord of the Rings.

  • @F14ace ''31 people are anti-Star Trek terrorists and loyal followers of a terrorists organization call ''Star Wars'', which founder is named George Lucas''.

  • This is by far the best Star Trek series.

  • @Junkmaster3 Don't push you're luck with that.

  • Jerry Goldsmith is just amazing. This is so gorgeous. If you really listen to it theres a lot of intricacy for such a short piece. Lush.x

  • I used to dream of a better world while watching this, but what has the world around me become? Maybe not enough people watched this show?

  • I will never Forget one Outstanding Episode of the Show in which we see the Super Tough USS Voyager in her Launch Crib before she goes out on her First Mission into the Unknown....

She hasn't Proved yet what she can do, which is outperform every other Ship out there, Friend or Foe,Near or Far.

We Saw her Awaiting Her Captain as she was being made Ready in her Cradle...

  • My father used to listen to this serie all my childhood.. I even had a sketch a dance for the opening intro.. loll this song is just enchanting .. souvenirs.. souvenirs

  • @TiteEvou

    souvenirs?

  • I would never be caught dead at a trekkies convention but I fucking love star trek, not all just voyager & DS9, TNG is ok but its just too old.

The show is not just for nerds, well I'm sort of a nerd but I actually get laid, I'm no macdaddy or nothing but I've have plenty of hot girlfriends. Actually my last gf left me b/c I kept trying to get her to watch this show. j/k but she did call me a fag tho whenever I watched it

  • @postapocalyptia LOL HOW GAY

  • Best TV SERIES EVER! No series has ever emotionally moved me like this one did. I felt connected to every character, not to mention the opening is EPIC!

  • i'm a trekky from child on. and these days i watched some voyager episodes again. i have to confess, i hate this particular show. it's full of annoying characters, like neelix, kes, tuvok, even janeway. i forgot to mention paris. really weak characters. i like the real pioneers, archer, tucker, reed, even the debobulan doctor aboard the nx-01 is a thousand times more interesting than this holographic shit on voyager. nx-01 = real pioneers! voyager = a bunch of pussies.

  • In this Music is a little from old "Dynasty"-Theme, isn't it??

  • Too great. Too magnificent. We needed something lighter and more industrial to provoke space te=ravel from Earth, not other worlds.

  • Voyager was my favorite!! :)

  • i loved tng ds9 and voyager best shows ever

  • i loved thg ds9 and voyager best startrek shows ever

  • To think that TNG, DS9 and Voyager all happen at roughly the same time. Those years in the Star Trek verse were crazy as hell.

  • @nepomusik

What years in the Star Trek verse are not crazy as hell?

All the books and such help flesh out more of the years.

  • @Usul573

Well yeah that's true, but the time when these 3 Trek shows take place are IMO the craziest of the bunch. The TNG crew had the Borg, the DS9 crew had the Bajorans and the Dominion War. The Ferengi would be troublesome for both TNG and DS9, the Maquis would be troublesome for both DS9 and Voyager, and Q would be a nuisance for TNG and Voyager.

Not to mention all the crap that happens in the Delta Quadrant. And all of this happened roughly at the same time.

  • @nepomusik

Yeah, I guess the more you cover a certain time the more happens in that time that we know about.

Obviously with TNG being such a massive ratings success led to the 2360s and 2370s being pretty heavily covered and a lot happening.

Some major stories like LOTR might skip a few hundred years if not a whole lot of interesting stuff happens then.

  • Have your tribble spayed or neutered.

  • Starship voyager, intrepid class.

  • this is the most boaring piece ever...and i have to play it for band!!!!!

  • @pwnpig13

    WHATTTTTT

I WANT TO PLAY THIS SO BADLY.

    It's the best!!

  • this music is beautiful!

  • Maybe not the best series of the Trek, but, the most beautiful opening ever made about Star Trekking! ^^

  • I wish i could fly this thing.

  • is it just me or does voyager look like a octopus at times from the side view

  • @Zessby: This is just how we peeps back on Earth see it. They're still speaking their own language, it's just edited by the Humans so we people in the past can view it like we want to. And I hate when people get technical about Star Trek rather than focus on the beauty of the show. So I gave you an answer. Hah.

  • Music is just beautiful !!!!!

Captian Kathryn Janeway is the best captian ST VOY...i like Doctor when he say "what kind of emergency it is?" :) :)

  • Comment removed

  • This is more than sci fi, its man longing for the stars.............

  • anyway back to the old translator question

fair enough the translator ....well translates....but if you have an alien creature

talking how is it the mouth is still mouthing in english....after all the the translator

converts the audible sound but not the mouth as well..???????????

  • Just sublime

  • :D when I had my phone I recorded this song and used it as my ring tone XD

  • this is so funny in "1911" mode XD

  • The ringed planet in the opening is almost good astronomy because they show the ring is made of particles, but then they screw up the scale by showing the ship's reflection in a way that makes no sense unless the ship is the size of a moon.

  • YAY!, I made the 1000 th thumb up!

  • great show, i watched it through all the re runs its that good, and i have to admit i had the hots big time for jennifer lien ( did i spell that right,)

  • This make me cry.

  • MAAN I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! VOYAGER IS THE BEST OF STAR TREK!

  • It just my opinion but i think Voyager is worse then Enterprise. DS9 the best i think it was way different from the other star treks.

  • God, the shows were so much better before that godawful ST: Enterprise show aired. I love and miss this series out of all of them.

  • @Molo9000

Oh yeah, almost forgot. He'd have had time to bang Kes as well.

  • @biff322 who wouldnt

  • @Molo9000 "James Tiberius Kirk would have brought his crew home by now."

Oh yes, Kirk would have defeated the Kazon, saved the Ocompa, and forced the Caretaker to send his ship home all in the first episode.

  • @de1ta3phase "I really loved JJ Abrams reboot as well."

Well then you have no credibility at all.

  • Voyager is my fav show. Whats crazy is I don't think the show is really that good. The overly PC themes & portrayal of human moral superiority were at times ridiculous. The same formulaic plots over & over again didn't help. Yet I love this show, no bullshit. Its strange, the show is just very comforting to me. Thank god for Jeri (Seven). She really saved the show. I really loved JJ Abrams reboot as well. The franchise really needed it to attract new trek fans. Berman got fucking boring.

  • My second fave of the star trek theme songs

  • before the prequel series STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE came about VOYAGER was my all time favorite star trek series. but after ENTERPRISE im not sure which one i like better. theyre both awesome. maybe theyre just a tie for first lol

  • Come on guys, the series was written to be lost in the DQ. The way they got stranded was terrible in plot, wouldn't have mattered who was captaining. They'd all look to make a iffy choice due to it.

She didn't do half bad 7 years instead of 70. Was she perfect? No. That's why i like her though, she wasn't and she knew it. She got her hands dirty, she got depressed. She was all alone in the DQ and had to make some tough choices.

Sure, Voyager itself has some flaws but i still enjoy it.

  • After having watched the first 9 episodes of Voyager in the last few days, I've come to a conclusion:

James Tiberius Kirk would have brought his crew home by now. :)

  • @Molo9000 Because he would have punched The Caretaker with his bare hands?

  • @postapocalyptia lol, I hope things got better in your house; they did for me.

  • @postapocalyptia I used to watch it with my mom when I was like a 7 year old kid. It was almost literally the ONLY thing we agreed about; everything else was a fight but Voyager was a pastime.

  • Star Trek Voyager is the one out of all i will not skip the Intro :)

  • This is the credits sequence to what Voyager should have been.

(Not that I didn't love the show, mind you.)

  • My english literature textbook says that the first 5 tones are the exact same as Somewhere over the Rainbow... hmmm. Anyway, this still is the most epic intro ever :)

  • 28 people who dislikes are Borgs

  • This music... It gives me a profound feeling of being far away... which matches the show perfectly!

  • lol Robert PICARDo

  • does any1 else think the voyager ship is like sulu's ship in star trek vi the undiscovered country??? cant remember the name of it....

  • @bucka607 excelsior i think, not sure, and i think it isn't anything similar... but ok

  • @bucka607 excelsior i think, not sure, and i think it isn't anything similar... but ok

  • u know what i never understood. is why instead of traveling 75 thousand lightyears from the delta q. to the alpha q., which would take 80 yrs, why didnt they just fly to the gamma q. and use the gamma q. wormwhole that lead to the alpha q. cuz next gen. ds9 and voy r in the same time zone. and ds9 came out before voy and in the 1st ep of voy they were docked at ds9. so they knew of the worm hole. and that would be faster. fly for 20 yrs, use the worm home and boom back home.

  • @thebuckrogers22 that's funny. are you sure it's 20 years travel time to that point? where did you get that figure from

  • Best programme ever!!!!!!!!!

  • STAR TREK ALL THE WAY!!

  • just one thing ....voyager is many light years away from earth

so how come the life forms never seen by humans manage

to speak english and amazingly a west coast american accent

at that.....or are you not ment to notice that??????????

  • @zessby11 All the crews in any star trek ever have a universal translator that works with all languages both ways. So basically writer's bullshit

  • @zessby11 1. as they said, they have universal translator. they even mention it, if not in Voyager, then in DS9. 2. what do you want, all people to talk in the show on a different language so you, the watcher can't understand shit? this is a compromise so the show can be watchable. like the temperature or air wich is always perfectly fine for humans, etc.

  • I wish they'd hurry up and come up with a way of achieving warp speed already ..I'm getting sick of this planet with it's petty b.s ....

I mean come on, all they have to do is just travel faster than light... lol

  • @ammarios It's impossible to break the light barrier. Travelling faster than it is possible, but if you're not travelling at the speed of light and you want to go faster than it, you can't. However, if you're already travelling faster than it, and you want to slow down to slower than the speed of light, you can't do that either. THE GAME
