  • sorry just 1 simple cuestion its remote the camera (image on live)? thanks...

  • UAV ONLINE

  • What's the maximum line of sight distance?

  • UAV Online

  • 3 kill streak!

  • I would also really like plans for this plane:)

  • Where did you get the camera ? Respond back soon . Thank you

  • @tuttleproductions34 I ordered mine from Amazon there are other places tyou can get it too. Just do a search for Contour HD cameras. We also have some links to the camera on the sidebar of our website/blog page.

  • what motor are you using?

  • When will you release the plans for this?

  • This test was very good despite the challenges. The video link worked, the video quality from the Contour was superb and most importantly, the model platform delivered. Filming while the motor is running usually results to wavy or jelly lines - I noticed none of that. Good job folks !

  • Nice video Pauly. Good to see the recon in the air again. Camera footage was awesome. Keep up the good work.

  • PEOPLE PLEASE LISTEN!!

im looking for a camera with EXACTLY this quality (from the video) but that can transmit back to a small moniter on the ground and has 360 tilt and rotating ability.. if anyone has any idea, at all, pleae PM me . THANKS

  • nice there is no prop static at all that is cool

  • Looking good great system I looking at getting one myself..Tim

  • How long does it stay up there, petroleum engine or electric?

  • Any news on the Supernova Paul???

  • this can be useful

  • That plane looks like it can fly a long time.

did you fiberglass the wings? they are so wide without flexing.

  • finally got a chance to catch up on my youtube video subscriptions. your Recon looks great up in the air Paul. Herman Airport is literally out in the middle of nowhere- great footage

  • Including the push rods and stuff like that.

  • Can you give me any sites on how to connect the servos to the elevons, alierons, elevators, ect.?

  • looks like a a hy-brid of f-14 d tame cat and the vertigo try swing wing and a turbine u get some sweet speed. Nice job try to do a vtol with it. John

  • That plane reminds me of an F-14 when its in the air. Looks great! I like it when you guys make vids. Thanks

  • great show guys...

  • plans?????????? thanks guys

  • @jackmanpilot

No formal plans of this plane yet. i have some basic stuff drawn, but need to finish them up. Hopefuly in the near future. Thanks for watching!

  • Paul... terrific job. This aircraft is really cool looking. She seems to track well in the air. The footage is pretty smooth and not jumping all over the place. Steady as she goes. I am so pleased with the way this project has turned out. I salute you!

    – Dick

  • @TheDickeroo

Thanks Dick! I'm sure your KF airfoil is helping the plane fly as good as it does. I hope one day to make a bigger version of this plane or something similar to further test your airfoils. I also have to get the Jupiter back in flying order and continue th tests with it. Many thanks for all your help and all you have done to make this RC Hobby better with your airfoils Dick!

    -Paul

  • FPV is the ONLY way to fly. Once you do it, you won't go back to the old way

  • @RCcunuk

Im sure you are right RCcunuk. Thats kind of why I've been putting it off, LOL. I need to get some better FPV equipment, hopefully soon. Thanks for watching!

  • great plane! Any plans to add flaps so you can fly at slower speeds?

  • @iamtherealzim

Thanks! No plans at the moment to add flaps, but that may be a cool idea.

  • hey paul awesome work, i really need to get my head together now lol, work in school has been crazy atm, lots of crazyily hard stuff and lots of homework+i need a job to pay for the stuff. Shame really i still got my fpv gear and i aint usin it. so its a crazy life at the moment lol. Hope u dont mind haha. :) awesome video :)

  • @FlyHighRC386

Yo Mikey, whats up man? Sounds like you are a busy fellow. Well keep up the studies. Your FPV stuff will be ready for you whn you od have time. Yeah, you need to make a video sometime brother adn show your FPV stuff!

  • cool guys

  • @jacquesone100

Yo Bro, thanks man! So hows your cool Quadcopter coming along? i hope good. Take it easy brother!

  • Cool plane, Would like to see more!

  • @sk8rboy1255555

Thanks, I hope to get it out flying again soon.

  • I cant wait to see more of this!!!

  • @IteKLF

    Thanks!

  • UAV ONLINE

  • Paul, you should invest in Fatshark. The new 5.8ghz. You'll have a good 5.8ghz and you'll be able to fly in REAL FPV

  • @Galilee1986

Thanks Galilee! i will look into the Fatshark stuff. Our Friend Jon has the 2.4ghz Fat Shark. I was wanting to get some Headplay Googles (800x600 res) and add a head tracker to it. Just need more money, LOL. Thanks for watching!

  • where can i get one

  • @MrBradley911

Thanks for the comments. haa haa, well I guess you would have to make one to get one. I may post plans of this plane later when i get a chance to draw them up.

  • wow cool

  • Wow. That was really cool. Would like to see more on it.

  • @TatutKhem Thanks! Will hopefully have more on this plane in the future.

  • That's nicely done. Good quality from the cam. I noticed that the plane still has some tendes to wobble from side to side at sertain speed. I think this was the plane that did have that problem earlier to, right? Bigger vertical stabilaser perhaps!?

  • @PukinDog68

Thanks PukinDog68. The hd camera seems to work pretty good. I just don't like the weird lines it gets sometimes from the Sun's glare. I might try a lens shade and see if that helps. I do agree the plane wobbles back and forth a little at slower speeds. Part of it may be the long nose and also the front landing gear hanging in the wind. Bigger vertical stabs may help.

  • Very Nice. Could you please provide a list of the vid equipment used. Cheers.

  • @ArchnMe73

I'll hav eto work up a list. The camera, video TX and RX are just a low priced unit i got from HobbyKing. its the 900mhz 200mw system they have for 59 dollars. The little LCD TV is one I bought a while ago from a local store called Best Buy. I think it is made by Axiom and was only 89 dollars.

  • nice! I've seen FPV's flying 18km away from base .... There are some cool video's on YT from FPV pilots from Switzerland - check them out

  • @CH0Rigi

I have seen a bunch of those cool videos. nastycop24 has some amazing videos on YouTube. I would love to get a setup like his someday and fly 18km out too! Thanks for watching!

  • Very nicely done still looks cool.

  • @VAND4LL

Thanks for the comment and watching!

  • You guys should get into the Autonomous business. I know, it's a new kettle of fish, but I believe you could do it.

  • @nickersucker

That would be cool. Someday maybe, Jon, Tim, Frank and I have talked about making some sort of Autonomus UAV.

  • I have the same 900Mhz 200mW system. Running IBcrazy's Inverted V antenna (from RC groups) on the VTX and the std rubber ducky on the Rx. I run out of range on my Controler. I was glitching at 1.7kms. The system works well. I had no video problems at that distance.

  • @Cjudd001

Cool, good to know you are getting such good range with just updating the antenna. I'll have to search RC Groups and look at it. Thanks for watching and the advice!

  • Very cool video!!!! ...a great rc build!!! Awesome footage!!!!

  • @TheLipRipp3r

Thanks for the comment and watching LipRipp3r!

  • 1st!!!
