Fame Forum III - VHT Sig X [FRYETTE]

Por 800 pavos, merece la pena una Fame? o mejor una PRS de las series bajas? Busco una guitarra de caoba potente para un proyecto nuevo que va en RE y no quiero tocarle la afinación a mis otras guitarras

Buenas! Gran sonido... sobre todo para una guitarra de 600 pavos!! Aunque el resto de equipo que llevas seguro que se sube un poco! Jejeje...

Qué me puedes decir del perfil del mástil? Es imposible ir a una tienda a probarla, pero ir a ciegas acojona... y nunca he probado una PRS tampoco para hacer la comparativa así que... fino y plano por detrás? quizá parecido a una Hamer? Aunque más que nada me interesa tu impresión: es comodo? suave?

The amp does everything right but for some reason when I hear the tone, it doesn't attract me and i think it's missing something, almost sterile... :(

There're people that feels the amp like you, I feel it completly dynamic and sensitive.... Not the most organic amp in the world, but you need to "get it alive" with your fingers...

Sure, The amp sounds better now than new. I think, not only for the "break-in" , but the fact that you know better the amp and you're able to set up in a more convenient way.

@MuscleMemory462 it's the room. The room has a very short reverb time, and the close miking does not improve the situation :P but anyways, to my ears both, guitar and amp, sound awesome !

It's your computer speakers probably that makes it sound sterile. I have heard this amp live and it is really much fuller sounding than on this video.

@JONHWAR PRS are excellent guitars, Fame are very very nice guitars... Only some details...but you should try one before buying.

Is your Forum III a mahogany made or a alder made and does it feature the original Shaller pickups ?

@jp6l6 alder or ash (i don't remember) with maple top. Original Schaller 50 gold pickups :)

does the function boost on foot increase general volume or gain/drive?

the boost enables the 2nd gain.

It modifies the tone, gain and volume.

I love the vht tone, but the xtc is a great amp too, so I have both.

i like vht's clean better but bogner's lead sound is just phenomenal, that's why i bought the Bog^^

Yes, but I prefer the rythm channel in my VHT than any other ;)

i like that when you play on bridge pickup, its still soulful,

and when you play on the neck PU, it doesnt mud up.

I have the Fame Teli (Telecaster) and the Fame Forum IV.

I going to change the Pickups from the Forum IV into Seymour Duncan SH2 and SH4.

Maybe i change the potis as well.

Then the Guitar will be Perfect.

BTW the Amp sounds great.

I got a Fame Forum IV, and i really love that guitar, except the keep in tunning thing!!! I think i will switch the tunners to the M6 locking (schaller)
