great film. The problem with Australian films is that sometimes it's only Australians who *get* them (and not even all Australians), they have a certain feel and pace and familiarity that doesn't translate that well to other people and places. I think they can be far scarier to us than they would ever be to others. I find American thrillers awesome but if I wanted to have that gut twisting fear experience I would watch a good Australian thriller or horror with some exceptions of course.

well quite a good film but i didnt like the fact that the director gave the croc some negative human characteristics.first of all,the only animal that collects more food than it can eat is the human!!and epsecially crocs,such as snakes can leave for days with eating something as big as a human.and secondly the crocs are not that bad to stay around the three humans and wait to eat them all...but the film was interesting and quite dramatic :)

Obviously that film is not a hollywood production! i suppose there will be a mutant crocodile with super powers. lots of disgustings scenes. If you not terrified , you must vomit. , and in the end of the film, somewhere the wife, or the kid of the crocodile will observe the survivors(if someone survive include the crocodile). In the case of the sequel.

I like this film, the acting is very good,The film could be better but still like it.I find it more drama than horror movie.

Only thing i liked was the directing, & video effects. Other than that it was just a simple movie. Very predictable, and the same story-line, just different characters and something different out to get those people. Sorry, but all Australian films are terrible.

Only ones i actually liked were: Ned Kelly & The Tunnel. Everything else is garbage. And i'm Australian myself so don't go ahead and assume i'm American or something. Just an honest opinion.

This is shot in two different places, the opening scene is shot in darwin. and the reason why they couldnt finish shooting the film in darwin is because there are real crocs in the water, so they picked a place similar which is where i live, and this place is in a suburban area :)

It's not that they are "shocked" that the animal would actually eat its prey, they are just mortified at having to listen to the breaking bones and ripping flesh of their friend. But hey, I guess that wouldnt bother you would it?

@XxPhillyGxX That is because that was not an Alligator, it is a Saltwater Crocodile. Alligators are more docile then Crocodile's. Certain species of Croc do look to humans as food, but that is only when they are very large. As that is an Australian Saltwater Crocodile it can reach that length easily.

Plus i dont recon that story is fully true because crocs dont attack like they they stay away from boats they dont go looking for danger like that. But if someone is splashing around then they will act like a shark and attack they will take them down and roll the best thing to do and to play dead that way they let go of you. But crocs to take people only because they get in the water
