I discovered this band by searching for another. Instant love. Akira Yamaoka is my favorite music composer of all time, so of course their style was good to me. I really love this band. I listen to them nearly every day...especially this song. I found them by accident and i'm forever in debt to google for randomly bringing up Halou. I love you Halou and Stripmall Architecture <3

I discovered Halou through Pandora a few months ago. Since then, I've discovered Stripmall Architecture, Invisible Ballet, R/R Coseboom, Inu, and other related acts. I love all of their music, but I think Wholeness and Separation is my favorite album. This song is one of my favorites.

I'm wondering what other people believe these lyrics are about.

The book "The Honey Thief" is about a mother-daughter relationship, which would explain a lot. The mother loves unconditionally, but is afraid to send the person she loves out into the world; at the same time, she sees that her daughter is stronger than she thought.

Does anyone have any other ideas?
