  • Thats real nice!

  • A great man that did many amazing things. Liberty University and Thomas Road Baptist Church will live on for many years to come.

  • that is a mean thing to say that your glad someone is dead thats really wrong

  • This was indeed a real blessing...God bless you and rest in His peace forever.

  • i remember seeing this on tv once.

my choir director even talked about. it was all over the news...i first saw it on the front page of my local paper the kinston free press...pastor falwell told us about it at youth alive this year...ps newsweek wrote about too.

  • Thank You Lord for Jerry & Many Others. Forgive us Lord for the negative or disagreeing comments toward him. Instead of listening more openly & truly humbling ourselves Lord to what You wanted to use him for.

  • I appoligize for the nefative comments left here recently. I have been involved with work and not monitoring the page. Thanks to all who have remained true and spoken up for Jerry and all Christianity!

  • Lynchburg wouldn't be half as well off as it is without everything he accomplished. The university has brought in more revenue to the city of Lynchburg than they really deserve. And yes I live very close to Lynchburg and have for most of my life. No I don't attend what was his church. I never attended his university either. I do know however that these are the facts.

  • As for the lawsuit...The Virginia Senate voted 34-5 with one abstention for legislation that would remove a limit on the amount of real estate that churches may own. Falwell sued in U.S. District Court contending the state's acreage limit for churches was unconstitutional. Everyone.. even Christian orginazations have the right to defend themsleves against what they think are unfair laws.

  • Dr. Falwell had so much more than education. He had a dream and a love for young "champions" and he never lost that goal. Those who took the time to know him found a humble servant of Jesus Christ. It was all about Jesus not about Dr. Falwell and this was his nature to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. One day many will see Jesus because of Dr. Falwells' dedication. We all miss Dr. Falwell but we all can dedicate ourself to Jesus Christ and become a "Champion"!.

  • Amen!!! When people post negative statements about Dr. Falwell, it is because they never knew the man. They saw what they wanted to see, not the real man. We miss him greatly but know that one day, we will all be reunited in God's Kingdom. Praise the Lord.
