I didn´t like the relationship between Marian and Guy - I wanted her to love Robin, with no doubts, with pure love. And she was a little bit unstable. Didn´t like it. Poor Robin... finally, they were together but the end was absolutely awful! What? Marian died and by the hand of Gisbourn? Shit...
@loveoffamily Mm, yeah. I always thought it was a bit strange that he was the one to kill her. I don't feel they did that very smoothly. I know he was a villain, but I always thought it was a bit too out of character, even for him.
@gc123x They married on her deathbed, after Guy ran her through with a sword, and then they were reunited in the last episode, when Robin lay dying and she came to bring him into the afterlife.
this show had so much potential, i loved it! but killing Marian off killed the show, robin hood and marian are meant for each other, with out marian there is no robin hood

Aw, I love this scene so much. And I think I might be in the minority, but I actually think that Robin comparing Marian to his bow is extremely touching and sweet, because, I mean, he's ROBIN HOOD. Without his bow, he's just not the same. And without Marian, he's not the same either. And come on, "Together, we're stronger" is a BEAUTIFUL line, I don't care WHAT the context is.
And I'm pretty sure Marian was touched by the proposal, odd timing and all, she just likes to give him a hard time
marian/robin are adorable! like them a lot. great couple! random way to propose. thats lame they killed marian off! altho at lest when robin dies he gets to be w/ her again.
Proposing over a freshly dug grave and comparing her to his weapon - yeah, real romantic, Robin! Almost beats Guy's first proposal in the crappiness scale.
@saltybread yeah, i kinda like it, who is robin hood without his bow, and who is robin with out marian. he isnt comparing her to a weapon, its to a dear loving and trusted friend thats seen him though everything. marian IS his bow, and his bow is marian. if anyone else did this, it wouldnt have the symbolism behind it. the grave on the other hand...lol. well since its her father, i see it as almost asking for her hand from him, and he *did* promise edward he'd take care of her...
Oh noes, are you going to run me through with a sword if I don't? Of course, you wouldn't actually want to kill me, you'd just want to kill the words coming out of my mouth. You complicated, tragic, dynamic, complex, leathery types are like that, I hear.

I know nothing about your life and I'm not trying to argue with you but from what you are saying, you have never experienced what Marian may have experienced with Guy and Robin - Loving two people equally for differnt reasons.
Marian did not love Gisborne. He used her diminishing social standing to pressure her in ways he never would have been allowed to pressure a lady of standing, and she, in no position to refuse due to her own devotion to saving England, was drawn into his complicated life. I believe she pititied him for who he had become, and hoped she might be able to turn him away from the Sheriff, but she never loved him. As she said herself, she loved Robin, and would rather die than be with Gisborne.
You obviously don't know what monogamous means. It means you can only love one person, humans are not monogamous therefore can love more than one person at once.
I don't think that word ´(monogamy) means what you think it means. Certainly people can fall in love with more than one person at the same time, but there is usually a desire (and need) to chose ONE of those people. The entire cast (Baring Jonas who is whingy to say the least) and production team perfer Marian/Guy as does any one with more that 2 brain cells. All the R/M fans are oathetic little girls who can't spell and SPK LYK DIs InnIt. So yeah...G/M..end of.
Heh. And you saying "arse" and "fuck" in every post isn't repetetive? Here's a tip: instead of posting rude posts on videos about Robin and Marian, try finding some Guy/Marian stuff and enjoy yourself. Meanwhile, you'd think if the cast and producers prefered Guy/Marian, they wouldn't have ended Marian's story with her marrying Robin and vowing they would reunite in Heaven. Just a thought.
Yeah well perhaps if you did your research and watched/read some of the interviews then you would know a bit more about the casts feelings towards G/M and Marians feelings towards Guy. And what don't you understand about go away? *Prepares self for some pathetic sarcastic comeback*
And on the child thing? Guy never actually confirmed that he was the father of the child, and that he was going to leave it to die. Whats to say he wasnt leaving it there to draw out Hood? Thats not any better but Robin is put across as too perfect. No one is that good. Like Guy, no one is totaly evil, we beging to see him thaw and show affection towards Marian, letting his facade slip. Series 2 was more about Guy and Marians relationship than anything else.
Oh, come on now, you don't actually believe that, do you? The child's mother certainly seemed convinced that the child was Guy's, and Guy never disputed it. Guy is obsessed with lineage. For the sake of his own vanity he had no interest in an illigitemate child, and sought to get rid of it.
You see, you have nothing better to say than mock my reasons for liking Guy as a character and my plausable reasons for him being the way he is. I can see why people like Robin and why people like Robin and Marian as a couple, but I hate it when people cant see why Guy is a good character. Not 'good' like Robin, but more interesting and deep and dynamic with the potential to be developed more as a character and redeemed from the sins he has brought upon himself.
I think Guy's plenty interesting. There is, however, a difference between saying "Yes, I think Guy's a dynamic character who adds much to the storyline" and "OMG squee Guy is so tortured is so hot how he obsesses over Marian I must ship Marian/Guy SQUEE!!!!" Just because Guy is a good character with potential for future redemption doesn't mean he should or could be paired up with ANYONE at this point.
THERE ARE 2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY. Guy is a dynamic and tortured character who has many reasons to act the way he does. I am in NO WAY condoning what he did to Marian , I am just as pissed off as you at her death but you have to admit that standing infront of a mentally unstable man holding a sword and professing to love his enemy wasn't the brightest thing she would have done.
Marian had little choice in the matter. She either had to draw Guy's ire herself, or be brushed aside and become witness to the murder of the king. I think there was part of her who cared for Guy, not in a romantic way, but someone who felt sympathy for the man he could have been - and that part obviously didn't think he'd actually murder her, not after the things he'd done to keep her (relatively) unharmed in the past. Her mistake, but hardly her fault. Guy's still the one who held the sword.
Lucy talks alot about how much she likes Richard as a person and as an actor, she very rarley talks about Jonas. There is definatley a lot more chemistry between Guy and Marian, Robin and Marian are just boring and predictable and there isnt any 'passion'in their relationship. Proposing next to a freshly dug grave isnt 'Oh typical robin, how cute' its 'ew thats dusgisting what a lame attempt at proposal' Jonas really isn't a very good Robin Hood. Guy/Marian <3
Gisborne is a murderer and a traitor. Instead of swooning over how hot Richard Armitage is, how about trying to actually keep up with the plot? If Guy were portrayed by a less attractive actor, no one would be making excuses for his atrocious behaviour and shipping him with Marian - and as far as I'm concerned, Guy and Marian have zero chemistry, unless making me nauseous counts. It's kind of hilarious that you'd complain about Robin's propsal being unromantic when Guy KILLED HER!
Ok, first of I am NOT gushing over RA. This is about the characterization rather than how astheticaly pleasing the character is. Guy is a very complex and emotionaly tortured person who obviously didn't have a nice or privillaged child hood like Robin did. Guys land was taken away from him by the king and it has been suggested by the producers that Guy was badly bullied as a child. Robin however lived a privillaged and as we know of, undisturbed and happy childhood.
Poor widdle tortured Gisborne! Pretty boy had a bad childhood, so that makes it okay for him to leave his child to die in the woods, to torture people, to murder people, to try to force Marian into marriage, to MURDER her. It's not his fault, he's all good and gooey underneath, it's just circumstances that keep this GROWN MAN from taking charge of his life. Please! Both Robin and Marian were willing to die for what's right, whereas Guy is almost twice their age but still weak and self-serving.
See, what you fail to take into account is the MENTAL CONSEQUENCES of constant bullying, berattion and humiliation. If you had been through anything similar to what Guy has, which you obviously havent but no doubt say you have, the you would know how extremly difficult it is to turn your life around when you are that deep into something. Its people like you that make me feel sick, sanctimonios little arse holes who fail to see that there is two sides to every story.
You need to cool down and mind your manners. You chose to come here and start this, so deal. You keep saying that Guy was bullied, but where's the proof of that? Seems to me like you're just making excuses for the character and projecting your own experiences and desires onto him, and anyone who stands in his way (Robin, and viewers like myself) are deemed "sanctimonious arseholes", simply for objecting to Guy's rather questionable intentions in regards to Marian, and his overall lack of morals.
The only distuption to Robins childhood that as know of is his father dying. Guy has no one as he has said before. He has never been shown affection or love, thus has no idea how to reciprocate or show it himself. This is what makes the character so fascinating. As for him killing Marian then it really is her own fault. What sort of deranged woman stands infront of a mentally unstable man holding a sword and professes to love his enemy?
Her own fault? What kind of mysoginistic asshattery is that? She was fighting for her country, her people, her friends, her king, her husband. She's a hero, and Guy is the snivelling little villain who told he he was going to marry her against her will and rape her in the marital bed. But I forgot, someone called Guy a poopyhead when he was a kid, so it's okay for him to commit high treason and indulge in sexual assault.
You for get that Guy was also fighting for what he believed in and that he wanted to kill the king because he genuinly believed that he was making things better for both himself and ultimatley Marian. Also, if you had botherd to read and watch ANY over the interviews concerning Marians death you will have noted that Guy would never have raped Marian or hurt her in any way. He genuinly believed he was doing the right thing, just like Robin did.
What people fail to remember, Marian in particular, which leads to her demise, is that Guy is a human being with real thoughts, feelings, dreams and aspirations. There is only so far you can emotionaly torment, bully and 'play' someone for imformtaion. Guy put up with it because in his eyes any attention from Marian must be possitive, no matter the genuine nature of it. Guy isn't stupid he knew what she was doing.
Guy is a character in a television show. He has no feelings, thoughts, dreams or aspirations. He does, however, have an excellent track record of killing and torturing my favourite characters. It's kind of rich that you'd call Marian's spying "bullying", when Guy tried to use the aftermath of her father's death to get her to start thinking of having babies with him. Gross.
It drives me insane when people don't think about each side of the story and just think that there is a clear divide between good and bad. THERE ISN'T. Guy is who and what he is because he was forced to be, from the reduced circumstances he was put in. Not because he wants to be, as started by Armitage and the producers many times. He hates the Sheriff but knows he will be killed if he were to leave. 'Guy didnt want to kill Marian just what was comming out of her mouth' ~ RH producers.
Guy is nearly forty years old. There comes a point when you can't blame your childhood for the murders and crimes you commit in the now. Guy has chosen time and time again to act in spite, or out of self-preservation, and out of a need to possess Marian rather than love her. And the line between good and evil may be blurred, but I'm pretty sure trying to murder your own child is firmly on the side of evil, whilst proposing next to a grave isn't even close.
Maybe I have to break things down into little managable chunks, because what I am trying to tell you is obviously too difficult. There isn't clear lines between good and evil. Robin is at one end of the scale, the good end, fighting for the poor and needy. The Sheriff is at the other end, hating the poor and stealing all their money. Marian leans towards the good side but doesn't agree with all Robins policys. In the middle there is Guy, unsure weather he wants to fifght for Vaysey or not.
That's rubbish. Guy has firmly chosen bad. Over and over. He has been given every chance there is to be a good man, but he remains a villain. I'm curious to know at which point someone becomes evil, since trying to murder your own infant child isn't enough of a divider in your mind.
You realise you've used the word "fuck" five or so times, called me a sanctimonious arse hole, accused the entire Robin/Marian fanbase of consisting of pathetic little girls who can't spell, and made other various delightful comments along the way? What part of that do you consider "being the bigger person"?
Fuck? Whats wrong with the word fuck? Yeah, its a swear word, so what? I don't think I'm some cool little jumped up kid but I'm not some pathetic tosser who berrates people for using any word more offensive than poo either.
I reckon they should try get lucy to come back, and they should all go back to the forrest even Djaq and Will. It just won't be the same without them........ =|
She and Jonas are both incredible and he's leaving the show too! i'm from America so i just found this show on itunes and i am in love. is there any other good stuff that they are in?
umm....i don't know anything about Lucy. But i think Jonas left becuase he's in a film called Books of blood or something and they were filming it same time as Robin Hood so he had to choose.
Oh gosh! He is so adorable!! And the proposing wasn't really good, comparing her to a bow, but oh gosh, if I were Marian!! They make suck a good couple...
I know, I feel like such a sad person but a proposal isn't a proposal unless the guy is down on one knee!!!! ;D It's sooooo romantic compared to Gisborne!!
This proposal is such a contrast to the one from Guy's last season or this season. When she accpets Robin she is soo happy, and she's the one who throws her arms around him. Oh TRUE LOVE!!
I still love this series ♥ but i want to kill the writers how killed Marian..

GisborneJT 3 years ago
You need to cool down and mind your manners. You chose to come here and start this, so deal. You keep saying that Guy was bullied, but where's the proof of that? Seems to me like you're just making excuses for the character and projecting your own experiences and desires onto him, and anyone who stands in his way (Robin, and viewers like myself) are deemed "sanctimonious arseholes", simply for objecting to Guy's rather questionable intentions in regards to Marian, and his overall lack of morals.
saltybread 3 years ago
The only distuption to Robins childhood that as know of is his father dying. Guy has no one as he has said before. He has never been shown affection or love, thus has no idea how to reciprocate or show it himself. This is what makes the character so fascinating. As for him killing Marian then it really is her own fault. What sort of deranged woman stands infront of a mentally unstable man holding a sword and professes to love his enemy?
GisborneJT 3 years ago
Her own fault? What kind of mysoginistic asshattery is that? She was fighting for her country, her people, her friends, her king, her husband. She's a hero, and Guy is the snivelling little villain who told he he was going to marry her against her will and rape her in the marital bed. But I forgot, someone called Guy a poopyhead when he was a kid, so it's okay for him to commit high treason and indulge in sexual assault.
saltybread 3 years ago

GisborneJT 3 years ago

GisborneJT 3 years ago
Guy is nearly forty years old. There comes a point when you can't blame your childhood for the murders and crimes you commit in the now. Guy has chosen time and time again to act in spite, or out of self-preservation, and out of a need to possess Marian rather than love her. And the line between good and evil may be blurred, but I'm pretty sure trying to murder your own child is firmly on the side of evil, whilst proposing next to a grave isn't even close.
saltybread 3 years ago
Maybe I have to break things down into little managable chunks, because what I am trying to tell you is obviously too difficult. There isn't clear lines between good and evil. Robin is at one end of the scale, the good end, fighting for the poor and needy. The Sheriff is at the other end, hating the poor and stealing all their money. Marian leans towards the good side but doesn't agree with all Robins policys. In the middle there is Guy, unsure weather he wants to fifght for Vaysey or not.
GisborneJT 3 years ago
That's rubbish. Guy has firmly chosen bad. Over and over. He has been given every chance there is to be a good man, but he remains a villain. I'm curious to know at which point someone becomes evil, since trying to murder your own infant child isn't enough of a divider in your mind.

Fuck off. Go Away. I really don't care what you think, thank you and GOODBYE.
GisborneJT 3 years ago
I accept your surrender. Better luck next time.
saltybread 3 years ago
It's actually called being the bigger person.
GisborneJT 3 years ago
You realise you've used the word "fuck" five or so times, called me a sanctimonious arse hole, accused the entire Robin/Marian fanbase of consisting of pathetic little girls who can't spell, and made other various delightful comments along the way? What part of that do you consider "being the bigger person"?
saltybread 3 years ago
Fuck? Whats wrong with the word fuck? Yeah, its a swear word, so what? I don't think I'm some cool little jumped up kid but I'm not some pathetic tosser who berrates people for using any word more offensive than poo either.
GisborneJT 3 years ago
Heh. I think you've misunderstood what "being the bigger person" means.

vg92997 3 years ago 2
I'm not sure why she left. But I doubt they'd have sacked her she was fantastic as proven by this video lol
smilezeverywhere 3 years ago
She and Jonas are both incredible and he's leaving the show too! i'm from America so i just found this show on itunes and i am in love. is there any other good stuff that they are in?
vg92997 3 years ago
umm....i don't know anything about Lucy. But i think Jonas left becuase he's in a film called Books of blood or something and they were filming it same time as Robin Hood so he had to choose.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
A little history Robin Hood wasn't the good one and the "terrible king" was taxing people to get him out of jail.

I know, I feel like such a sad person but a proposal isn't a proposal unless the guy is down on one knee!!!! ;D It's sooooo romantic compared to Gisborne!!

He got down on one knee, yey!!!!!! (screaming)

This proposal is such a contrast to the one from Guy's last season or this season. When she accpets Robin she is soo happy, and she's the one who throws her arms around him. Oh TRUE LOVE!!
