  • Why do we have to find faults in family, why can we just not accept that overeating can be an enjoyable experience my parents never made me overeat but my genetics and my greed did E F T does work but you have to do it all the time and that is not easy.

  • Acknowledge the emotion I was in during that "weight-gain" segment, hhhmmmmm...

    I remember just eating for no reason, even when I wasn't even hungry.

    I remember watching myself as if I was outside my body watching me eat and eat, and eat.

    DAMN, HOW STUPID WAS I, SO STUPID STUPID STUPID!!! I was aware of eating, BUT I WAS UNCONSCIOUS AS I WAS DOING IT!!

    HOW, WHEN, AND WHY DID I PROGRAM MYSELF TO CONSISTENTLY EAT WITH NO BLOODY REASON, DAMN ME!!!! NOW MY BELLY IS *#!!@*! FAT!!

  • Hi David, I am really grateful for you for giving me this very simple yet powerful video.I saw ur this video yesterday night n was impressed that I did all 3 affirmation, 4 mirror affirmation n 1 food affirmation in the morning. (I am 37 yr old single overweight/obese girl). I hv few questions

    1) Do we have to do all this in one shot? all together?

    2) How many days we have to do this?

    3) What if i rem some incident or some memory while doing this?

    4)What if i m not able to connect as u told?

  • I gained weight when I got married - my wife and her family were big eaters. I lost weight after a divorce but gained it all back after taking a year off my profession to try "truck driving" - eating buffet 3 times a day. what do you recommend for that?

  • Nothing to do with my parents or childhood with gaining weight! I gained weight after having my children and then menopause started after my last child.

  • From society, group consciousness, genetics to memenetics, church, peer pressure, siblings, parents, grandparents. everyone around us. As we get older we can start to make choices. We can heal what no longer serves instead of dealing. This is the era of resolve the issues and evolve to a higher state of consciousness. It is like when you learn how to read or add or ride a bike. baby steps to bring it in then master it.

  • Why we blame our parents because that is what it sounds like. that is whatever one does. Learn how the subconscious mind works. It runs everything in the body. We start programming it. From the time of conception up until approximately age of 7. Age of reasoning kicks in. WE start to think differently. All programming is pretty much done from conception - 7yrs old. It is know ones fault. We are sensory beings and we took in the world, we believe what is presented to us.

  • I have weight gain for the past 15 years due

    to Thyroid Disease. I did not get a bit overweight because of getting older..body slow down.

    I have not gotten overweight 20 pounds because I was an emotional eater

    How would EFT help me...

    Eat less does not work...it was not emotional at all.

    I have thyroid issues too. I tried to fix my thyroid. While working on this I found alot of emotional issues around my thyroid. I am a holistic therapist. I found that I was not able to speak my own truth. The more I tapped on this issue the better I felt. I hope this helps you.You may have another issue for your thyroid.. Some times if we think about it we can find the emotional connection to our illness.Good luck.

  • @kimmiegv i fully agree, i thot id a stomach ulcer, but it was stress and emotional yearning for my ex, wen i saw them again i had a moment of pure realisation and like 2 months of PURE upheaval and now im free from it, still have a little body wieght but dunno how its there or why or when it startd a think maybe age 8

  • We need to stop blaming others and accept responsibility for our own actions. It's not our parents fault, its OUR FAULT when we gain weight. Changing schools, or things in life have no effect on how many McDonalds hamburgers I put in my mouth. It's my responsibility, and no one elses.

  • Diets do so work. But people get off the diet and return to their same bad patterns of eating.

    The secret of weight loss is EATING LESS of what you eat, and working out more even if it's just walking fast every day. Just EAT LESS! And take in less sugar and sodas.

  • It's not about eating less, it's about changing eating habits. Eating healthier food. Not skipping meals (breakfast especially).

    A decade ago I ate every 3 hours and changed my food and anyway lost weight.

    You make it sound so simple, but it isn't. Many people have tried, but failed.

    AND the diets don't work because they're fad diets.

  • ok ok... the thing is that when i gained the weight, 2 and a half years ago, it was during the 3 happiest months in my life. I was satisfied and just so glad. I was full, so what can I do?

  • try to think what the extra pounds made you do or think. Sometimes we gain weight in order to start being active again... funny, but true :-)

  • OMG! I've never considered weight loss to be associated with an emotional/turbulent situation in ur childhood- but come to think about it- its true! ....i don't want to know what's lurking in my past!

  • This is why I subscribe to you. I think your psychology is totally correct. Of course, if you are super skinny and you want to get buff you should eat big and work out big - but if you just want to loose fat like you are talking about, then it really is all in the mind.
