@HelloKitschCupcake Thanks for the observation. This style of playing it is mine, and that's how this arrangement came about. Paul McCartney actually played it with his thumb and forefinger, which is why it sounds like he's half-strumming the piece. By his own admission, he was not a fingerpicker.
I think it's pretty cool that you paid attention to what my right hand was doing... That's where my focus usually is. :D
@PsiBrr Okay! Well I am working on it now too! And I am doing it soo slow that I cant sing with it.. haha Ur Amazing. since I Am trying to play it too i got more respect for people who can lay it as fast ond good as you!
@HelloKitschCupcake Well, you know that's just a matter of practice and muscle memory. Keep practicing and you'll get it. When I am learning a piece of music I learn to sing the song first. It seems to frame what I am learning to play on the guitar. I sing it in my head as I play the guitar part. I hope you'll put it up on YouTube and let me know when do! Practice, practice, practice!
Wow! I mean, an instrumental is only good if the listener can sing along with it... you have such good pace and rhythm, it's fantastic! A pleasure to listen to.
@JeSuisLaPapillon You know, Paul McCartney didn't have big hands either. There is a solid TAB out there to play it the same way he did (I've seen it). :)
@taocute It's not a difficult piece. Paul McCartney played it with his thumb and forefinger, and actually strummed parts of the song with his finger. I predominantly fingerpick, so I had to create an arrangement suited to my style of play. My hands are also pretty big, so I can easily get that 5-fret stretch, and it allows me to help the piece "lope" a little bit.
Thanks! My music teacher also told me that the trick is to play it slowly and get used to going up and down the neck. Especially since i have small hands =P
