Oh, one more thing... Vader is a Sith. there are usually only two Sith in the entire Galaxy, So even an #2 Sith (apprentice) is second in command of the Galaxy. Vader can even deflect blaster shots with his bare (or gloved) hand. So I don't think that Mags would have such an easy time defeating Vader. When we saw Vader fight in the movies it was usually against his own son, so he was always holding back. Image the world of hurt he can bring (from a distance) to Magnito if he really wanted to.

I think that everyone is forgetting that Vader could manipulate the force from a great distance (he force chocked one of his commanders who was on an other ship). Plus he posses Sith abilities (force lightning, Sith storm etc..)

Vader's lighsaber most likely will not work on Magneto's barrier, neither would his lighning. First: Magneto could easily destroy Vader's lightsaber. And even if he didn't, he could repel it with an electromagnetic barrier, seeing as a lightsaber's blade is held in an electromagnetic field.

Second: It takes time to choke a man to death, even with the force. Magneto would need less than one second to destroy Vader's life support systems and, or his mechanical limbs, way before passing out of dying.

I think Vader would win against Magneto. Vader could will Magneto to death instantly before Magneto knew what happened. If they were to get into a close range fight Magneto would get killed by Vaders Dark strike, it does not even matter what it is that he hits with it or even if the blade in the saber cuts the target, all the pure Vengeance in the Dark Strike kills anything out right, but I don't see either getting in close to fight because that would be reckless.

Darth Vader can use the Force.... DUH. And Vader is most likely made of some kind of metal composite-- that is unaffected by Magneto's magnetism. You have toremember that the materials used in Star Wars are not made of the same things that we use on Earth.

I've looked into it, there is no reason to believe the Durasteel in Vader's suit is or is not magnetic, seeing it is made up of 5 fictional elements and plain old non-magnetic Carbon. For the sake of if we actually wanted to see a real fight between these two, I'm going to say it isn't. Though I will give one thing away to the Magneto fans, there is a 'unique' micronized iron in Vader's gloves designed to disperse blaster energy.

Now I'm going to give the Vader fans something, the computers built to sustain Vader's life are ruggedized (Meaning can survive direct onslaught with magnetic fields). So, the fight between Vader and Magneto will have to turn to skill and ability, with Magneto trying hard to keep Vader using the force on other things then him. In which I say the finaly product would be a safe draw, if circumstances are balance and magneto is given a weapon within the environment to fight with.

Man , I see people here don`t know much about Magneto .

He could just make Vader immovable by controlling the iron in his blood stream . He has control at an sub-atomic level meaning that he could just literally rip Vader`s atoms apart . He can control the impulses in Vader`s brain , killing him in the process .

He has been shown to be able to control fearous particles from the air itself , forming spheres around the oponnent and he could just crush him by doing that .
