@dudecomeon100 The song shows that you can 'enjoy' even the worse moments life throws at you. The characters has lost everything for a cause, still singing, strolling through the hills, calmly pursuing their goals :)

@musmkhan85 The movie was about torture and injustice towards sikhs by police in punjab after Indira gandhi's murder and how this situation forced many sikh boys to pick the guns to deal with this injustice
yeah u dont need to put that message bro .,, i searched this song bcoz i like this song but ur comment on top is irritating just bcoz if someone doesnt like this song one caanot hate it even ..
no need to be on the side of guyz like this and arundhati roy and all same case to naxals those naxals who complaint of lack of development of their areas bought weapons costing crores from pakistan gets money from all terror outfits bangladeshi terrorist .
India is very corrupt !! I want india to be number 1 vote for me and dont support evil politicians!! Plz sahi insan ko chuno:(( I wish koi acha polititian aaye :(
This song is not about partitions. It relates to reality in Punjab where thousands of young men were killed in fake encounters by Punjab police. There are villages where not a single young man was left, all women, kids and older generation. Due to fear of life, young were forced to leave their homes, move to Canada, UK and US. Thousands resorted to taking revenge. It's the same Sikhs to gave their lives for the independent India - so called world's large democracy.
To remove poison you take medicine which unfortunately have side effects - that doesnot mean you donot take medicine. I don't claim that fake encounters have not happened for frankly I don't know. Sikhism was initially formed to oppose Mughals. India was the victim of terrorism and when Sikhs realized that they were helping those people who were their bitter enemies, terrorism was reduced in Punjab and it moved to hilly slopes of Kashmir. I didn't want to bring politics but I couldn't resist.
@hjoshi555 Sikhism wasn't founded to oppose the Mughals, and comparing this to a side effect is absurd. Have you ever been to Gurdaspur? In some places there aren't any guys around that would have been in their teens-30s at that time. Government killed them. Look their sisters and mothers (that got gang-raped by the cops in Shudi Karan) in the eye and tell them that they've been healed.
Pettigrew said it best: the govt was punishing a "criminal tribe," not running a counterinsurgency
Dear. Feelings are some thing else and partition is a hard, on ground fact. And to best of my knowledge this film is based on the riots in Punjab (indian) and not partition so do not try to mix your feelings.......................
@kedarnevergone :yes friend, the riots after indira's gandhi's death weren't the end of this. Young sikhs of Punjab were being beaten and killed everyday by police after that for years and their women were raped. This thing went on till mid 90s and more than 10000 people were tortured by police wrongfully. This film depicted the difficulties of post 84 era for sikhs in punjab.
I did not watch this movie. But as long as the effects of song are, they cause a stir in body and mind making a person "nostalgic'. Especially when a person away from that very atmosphere and situation. It is beautiful song with nice drum beats and lyrics. A very romantic one. Excellent poetry.
Iam from pakistan currently living in canada and i will dedicated this song to mmy self .. chor aye hum woh galiyan !! excellent upload bro +5 stars again!!
Wat bout the innocents killed any terrorists??why is tht people see only police brutalities but blissfully forget the acts of terror?? if you have seen the movie, you will remember tht one of the characters who wanted to quit was killed by his own friends.... cycle bomb i guess...
It's all about relativity. Numbers killed by police are far more. Families drawn into rebels due to police brutality. Torture from a force you expect to see justice from. I can give you many reasons why people are biased in their views.
@jschanna forget it! policemen are also from same society from where we came. no one is different. u would have done the same in their place. what is it called! Societal effect
no offense intended. As a child everyone's dream is same. no one is born corrupt or bad. situation makes them. We should be worried about the foundation of the society rather than the after effects. I do not support police atrocities but blanket statements undermine the efforts made by some dedicated souls.
Dear, I would never endorse any act of terror, but I hate Punjab Police....hated them then...do hate them now...will hate them in future....They have made life miserable for everyone.
i met many vietnamese in america they never smile and always has wrecked faces .my english friend told me there is war in thier country for 15 years thats why they r like that .i told we punjabis live 18 year in a dreadful terror and atrocities but we still smile like nobody ever could coz we r all frm punjab the grt land and we know how to live a life
@ravbritatlove its not only 18 years, the atrocities by the british governement and the ruthless stupid rulers of our ancient country are even older and more painful and still we punjabis smile and make others smile too
