A small one feeling so much words and feelings to the trees, the stones, to the woods, to the insects , birds who living in between... they are presenting around us. we are part of this big harmony.

  • @peichenlovelight tree hugger.... don't ruin a good video by posting about how you wanna basically bang a tree or a prickly bush.

  • Oh, my heart being touched deeply. I could feel the peaceful soul of these musicians when they playing with the nature. It's seems a deep greeting to the space too. Everything connecting together, all becomes one. My heart taking a deep bow down to them and all artists.

  • How beautiful and majestic!! I love the background setting!!

  • 32 people are short freshman flute players who only know one octave.

  • @The4fourEver Unoriginal comment.

  • Trumpets for the win!! i like it :)

  • they kick brass

    brass instruments ftw

  • @stevenhamlin1000 The musicians are promoting themselves....they're blowing their own horns. The performance ends on a positive note. The musicians are horny. One person's performance ends on a high note.

  • what's the name of this song...where can i fiind the scores?...parts..thx:)

  • @lovemuzic21 My god man...how is it even possible to miss the title? It appears in the title for this video and in the info box. It's called Quintet, and is composed by Michael Kamen. (May he rest in peace)

  • Woaaah, I've just seen a concert here in Debrecen where Joe Burgstaller played the trumpet. Amaaazing :D I definitely became a trumpet fan :)) I didn't want to go home after the concert, I would have been able to listen to him forever (L)

  • 1:57 low brass FTW!!

  • WTF

  • wonderful ;D

  • so what exactly is the name of the song i'd like to play it for solo and ensemble

  • @44jesusfreak4 As it says in the title, it is called "Quintet"

  • @pincus27 ok where can i get the music???

  • @44jesusfreak4 I would first try the Canadian Brass website, and if that fails, try sheet music plus.com, and if that fails, go to a music store and and ask them to research it for you. It's out there somewhere I'm sure.

  • 2:00 to 2:09 is amazing. Beautiful trombone

  • Of all the brass I think the Horn as the clearest and most humane sound. And thats coming from a trumpet player.

  • @djfeas001 i agree completely, and im trombonist. i always thought that the most epic thing to hear is a good, beastly horn rip...dang i wish i could play horn...

  • I'm deeply impressed. A wonderful composition, great playing and a beautiful video, Bravissimo!

  • @TheMrSpanks i think you might be right, it does look like a plastic mouthpiece... hevan alone knows why he'd use it though, allergies to metal, just simply likes plastic mouthpieces. Who knows??

  • @angodamango He wouldn't have recorded with a plastic mouthpiece, just used it for the video.

  • As a brass player (trumpet) all I can say is BEAUTIFUL! This is music!

  • beautiful.

  • I think 2:28 to 2:30 is the coolest

  • @brianchoihk

    u a tuba player?

  • @msmsmmss No, pritty badass and epic video.

  • I play the trumpet and the french horn but this vid, WOW!

  • Does anyone know the name of this piece?

  • @ViciousTeddyBear09 Quintet (Magic Horn CD)

  • @juanvaldez100 That is the name of it?

  • @ViciousTeddyBear09 yea it is

  • @ViciousTeddyBear09 Its called Quintet i have the music to it well the french horn part only

  • @SureShotHorn Do you have the music on your computer.

  • @ViciousTeddyBear09 No i can like take a picture of it and send to your email or something what do you play?

  • @SureShotHorn i play trumpet but i love the horn part so much i would transpose it just to play it.

  • 真是太棒了!我很希望可以拿到譜來練〜

  • this is so beautiful

  • the tone is effing amazing

  • Wunderschön, tolle Aufnahmen und sehr beruhigende Klänge !! VG, Dieter

  • Jeff Nelsen is a beast.

  • oh and i wish there was a super like button

  • the chord at 2:44....AMAZING

  • i was looking for a wake up horn sth like millitary horn

  • the exact opposite of power metal it calms on and it echos in your heart for lack of a better term

  • when i heard this song i think the hevens opened...lol

  • i cant exactly tell, but is that a Baritone/Euphonium or a Tuba i cant tell when compared to the guy himself

  • that has to be a tuba, I read this with two trombones a horn and two trumpets... It was nearly physically impossibly to play that low stuff on a Trombone

  • it's a 3/4 size C tuba

  • @tspruell94 its a tuba . lol my school uses does kind of tubas

  • @tspruell94 definelty tuba....it's much deeper (the sound and the actual instrument) i play both so yea, it's tuba..:)

  • Wat allemachtig prachtig !!! :)

  • สุดยอด

  • this peice is beautiful and i can't wait to play it! WOOT Riverside Brass Quintet!

  • what song is this?

  • @sam00447

    "Quintet" Michael Kamen

  • It is music for peple watt are serious lisseners. With the possebillety for details.

    That why the are timeless.

  • Definitely not.

  • I just meant in the way it's filmed, the position of the players, camera angles... it makes for a cheesy set up

  • I am buying this tomorrow and i cannot wait to work on and perform it with my group! beautiful writing. thanks for posting!

  • i forget where we got it but i played this with a quintet when i was in school it may not sound like it but it is a challenging piece i played the tuba

  • This is OhEmGee aMAzaZING. these guys are truly blessed by God with the talent of Musical Art.

  • so where can i get the sheet music for this piece? i cant find it..... anybody got a link?

  • Canadian Brass Store. Look harder

  • Michael Kamen's "Quintet" (This is what you look up on the Canadian Brass website). You can purchase it for single quintet or double quintet. It was commissioned by the Canadian Brass with Michael Kamen just before he passed away. Amazing composer!

  • it's just fantastic - great music!!!!

  • хорошее видео!интересно смотреть и слушать!!!!!!

  • es una interpretación fantastica... no cabe duda.. son unos ecxelentes musicos y un ecxelente ensamble..saludos..

  • i love hearing the theme pass on from instrument into the diff. colors. keeping the beautiful sound the same throughout the song is pretty challenging. check out my site at allabouttrumpet (dot) yolasite (dot) com

  • our brass quintet played this exact piece as well, and none of us expected it to be that difficult. But wow, just the internal subdivision and tempo alone are so difficult. When you add the dissonant chord structure and delicate/exposed nature of the part writing, it became the most difficult piece our quintet ever played

  • where did you get sheets i couldnt find them on there web site?

  • @SWgoalie09

I wanted to get my HS's brass quintet to play this for UIL State Solo & Ensemble (TX), but UIL has it as a Class 2 solo, which means its not too difficult. But the solo that they played to go to state was a very simple piece, and that one was considered a Class 1.

  • BEST!

  • The original and best - have grown up watching these guys - fantastic.

  • @PedroKnowles- Why does it matter? If you're paying attention to the type of mouthpiece used, then obviously you don't have the ability to enjoy a good performance of a beautiful song. Shame on you.

  • that is so epic...*sniff*sniff

  • My brass quintet bought this exact arrangement and I must say it is not easy to put together. There is so much rubato. If you want to measure how well a quintet plays together give them this piece. Very fun piece to play and listen to!!

  • @cpthornman what site did you get it off of my quintet is looking for it?

  • You can get it straight from the Canadian Brass website I believe.

  • thank you

  • i play trumpet, its nice.. but sorry, i wish i played french horn in this piece

  • so why is the tuba player playing on a kelly mouthpiece? the entire performance is superb all around, but really? a kelly mouthpiece?

  • @pedroknowles if the whole thing sounded superb, does it really matter what equipment they used?

  • eh, true.....

  • @pedroknowles he might also be comfortable with that mouthpiece too

  • yeaahh!

  • french horns for the win

  • I play the trumpet... but my goodness does the french horn own

  • very very good !!!

    realy the magic horn

  • Me and some friends in my senior year of high school performed this at a creek, and I must say it was epic.

  • 2:33 I still love that little horn lick, it's gorgeous.

  • Corny video, But amazing tone quality. Excellent

  • es un exelente quinteto...... que viva canadian brass

  • anyone know of any good songs and composers for brass quintet besides this one?

  • is that philip smith on first trumpet??? looks a hell like him

  • Only Micheal Kamen could write something as beautiful as this.

  • he's playing a triple horn. jtlyk

  • wow, what a super hornplayer!!!

he plays like a hornist who plays at the "Wiener Philharmoniker"

    i love this cd

    Greets from Austria

  • Very pretty tune. Horn players are born to scream up like that at 3:11. That's how they should make you pick instruments, just highlight typical passages that you'll end up playing. I'm stuck with the trumpet.

  • my favorite part is 3:40

  • I cannot even think of a word to describe how this sounds! It sounds as if the heavens are singing in brass instrument form! =D

  • how was this recorded?

  • omg they are epic

  • What's the difference between an oboe and a lawnmower?

    You can tune a lawnmower.

  • omfg hahahaha

  • i think brass instruments are the perfect instruments. they are easy to tune, they sound beautiful, and they can be played in all different ranges. i hate the sound of a nasty woodwind. uugghh the sound of a clarinet.....gross

  • I play tuba in a high school band, and this tuba player, pardon me for not knowing his name, is amazing. He has total control over his instrument, when i play a note, any note im not sure just how good it will sound coming out, but he seems to know how to make the desired note and tone come out exactly how he wishes it.

  • chuck daellenbach...i play symphonic tuba in hs

  • huh?

  • its a syphonic band in my highschool

  • To try and help you out with that concern of not knowing how your note will sound, try breathing from your stomach, I know that sounds weird, but if you breath in and expand your stomach, you can have better control over your air flow...and when you get that flow going, just try to keep it steady. For the best sound, try to use warm air, like when you breath in the window of a car to make it fog up, yeah, that kind of air...combine these two concepts and your playing will improve...good luck!

  • I bet you have more control over the tone of the note now than when you just started playing tuba, so it's all a matter of practice. It often sounds different when you listen to yourself while you are playing, so recording yourself and listening afterwards can help a lot too.

  • It is simply a matter of practice and dedication. He knows exactly what sound he wants to come out when he starts to play, and that is my bit of advice to you along with the other guys. Know how you want to sound and know what each pitch sounds like. That will help you produce a what you desire.

  • *what you desire. Not a what. haha

  • RIP Fred Mills

  • i got to meet jeff a few months ago at the bluebonnet horn fest. hes a really cool dude

  • yea he's my cousin, great guy!

  • Superbe, un régal à voir et surtout à écouter,

  • that would be interesting to play somewhere like that

  • I saw Jeff Nelsen live last week in Melbourne. I like it how he was using magic in his performance, sooo good!

  • got the chills watching it live at CalState Fullerton, got the chills again just watching this video. Amazing.

  • go trombones I play the trombone

  • go trombones lol

  • best video/audio i ever heard/saw. I wanna be just like the trumpets. Same skill, technique and sound. The french horn was ..dammmmmmmn
