Great tip: If you turn the volume off on your videos so we don't have to listen to you spout off conjecture, there are actually some really nice shots of families and the city, etc. Watching your videos with the sound off is like watching a montage of how great and diverse L.A. is.

Ralph besides illegals overcrowding our jails, their offspring have added to the number of BROWN inmates and visitors. It is not a matter of region or economic stanadards in California. A friend of mine at the Ventura county jail called as they were leading illegal's from the jail to be deported..The prison visitors are ALL of brown color and yes you are right, it is an open issue that should be discussed in the open.

Stein Report last week reported that the ICE Secure Communities program found that only about 12% of all inmates were here illegally in locales that represent the highest concentrations of the most dangerous criminal aliens. Thats it. Just 12%. And that was in areas like Southern CA and Texas that have high populations of illegal aliens. Jurisdictions like Helena, Montana and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with low populations of immigrants, were not included.

You make it seem in your video that visiting jail is common to Latinos which is far from true. You're in heavily Latino areas of the southland and only showing Latinos and Bail Bonds businesses that cater to the Spanish speaking population. Poverty and a lack of education is what brings these people to these facilities but American jails aren't overflowing with the undocumented. African Americans make a large number of the incarcerated around the nation and that has nothing to do w immigration

I have 2 responses: 1) Poverty and lack of educ. is not what puts people inside of jails. Committing crimes is what usually puts people inside of jails. The maj. of folks who fall into the Impoverished and Undereducated category, are not incarcerated ...

A friend of mine's brother did some hard time. When he got out he was determined to become a better person and contribute to society. If it weren't for the support of his family, he might not have made it.

That those in that jail have family that care enough to visit is a good sign.

Yechhh! Illegal vendors allowed to ply their trade in front of the jail. How utterly third world law. Did I see one woman carrying a cake box inside?

Yeah, she had a box but I doubt it was for a detainee inside. The whole thing is almost treated like a social event or outing by many of the people visiting an inmate. They bring food and socialize just outside what is designated as the visiting area of the jail. I've seen the same thing play itself out around other jails here in SoCal, as well. For some of the little kids, being processed into jails and visiting relatives is a normal part of childhood.
