Would have any tips on how to do the curl with a pipe cleaner and the person's real hair? I'm cosplaying Canada and I can't seem to get the curl right, I'm having my hair cut and colored like Canada's so no wig and the curl made of pipe cleaners doesn't like me so much, I think the biggest, hardest part of it is just positioning and proportion, just getting the loop in the right place. Thank you in advance ^^
@MailJeevasFangirl99 Hmm *thinks* have you tried attaching the pipe cleaner to a clip, then clipping it to your hair? (try and hide the clip under your hair if you can) for the shape I'd just say look at reference pictures and mould it to that shape, plus keep holding it up to your head to see how it looks. I'm sorry I can't give any helpful advice as I've never tried doing it with a pipe cleaner, I hope that helped in some way >.<
@Littlegeeky Actually I think that did help ^^ thank you and I haven't tried using a clip and it's so hard to get it to fold around my hair to stay in right, thank you again
@SketchLiteProduction Unfortuently they stopped selling my wig almost a year ago now ;_; you'll just have to search "short blonde wig" on eBay, it's how I originally found this one.
Im getting a new wig for my Canada cosplay and thanks for this video..Im gonna have a curl for my wig. I do have a question tho..Where would you be able to find a wire like you had? I live in America so I dunno if the stores are the same..Craft stores? Hardware stores? I got a month to figure all this out..XD
@Canamochi I was able to get this small piece from 3D class in college. You'd most likely get it from a hardware store, although I don't know if you'd have to buy a big role or not. You can buy wire from craft shops but I find it's too thin and bends under the weight of the hair. I hope that helps you a bit ^_^
@TheMoonPower (sorry for the late reply, my youtube messaging has been playing up) I used copper in this one but if you can use something stronger like iron that would be better ^_^
Can I say I love you? I got my Italy wig from Hong Kong and it had no curl. Luckily with this tutorial and my aunt (whose a hairdresser) I shall prevail over this curl crisis!
Thank you so so much for this tutorial! It's going to help me a lot. Do you mind telling me where you got the goggles? You cosplay is adorable and i've looked up outfits but none of them come with goggles ><;;
@AmuFandubPro I bought them awhile ago off eBay so I can't give you a seller, sorry >.< They were originally for Steampunk if that helps? Good luck with your cosplay ^_^
@XmagikarpXevolvingX It would but the thinner the wire gets the more likely it is that it can't support it's own weight >.< Try to find some really strong but thin wire if you can ^_^
@DollfiePOP As you can see near the beginning of the video I had an old curl which was much thinner. Unfortuently this fell apart rather a lot. This curl is quite thick but I've been in stormy/windy as hell weather with this baby and it still stands. If you wanted it thinner you could just have the wire rather than adding the hair to it?
Girl, you don't know how happy you just made feel. The entire time I was watching this I had my ME GUSTA face on! *hugs* I'll submit my drawing soon for your drawing blog!
This was perfect! Thank you soo much! ^-^

wait, was the tape sticky side out, or in?
Littlecupoframen 1 month ago
@Littlecupoframen The sticky side of the tape is sticking to the wire so the outside isn't sticky. Hope that makes sense

Is there any way you could make it look... thinner? Perhaps it'd be too flimsy, but it always looks a bit too chunky to me!
