14:09 - "where energy which we could say is the cause of motion and therefore of time, is defined as the ability to do work. That's how physicists define energy. It's funny that they use, an economic/sociological metaphor to define energy, and then they get mad at us for using metaphors to say the universe is meaningful" - This is incorrect. Energy [frm. Grk. 'energia'], at root, actually MEANS 'work', This can be found in Aristotle. Thus to say it is a socioeconomic term, is your own projection
most excellent, and many thanks! you've rendered me a vista from which I can earnestly explore these branches- which I'd hitherto assumed to be historically vital yet ultimately outmoded. How might you describe the relationship between the paradigm you're presenting and Tychonic geoheliocentrism, which (according to wikipedia) reconciles "the mathematical benefits of the Copernican system with the philosophical and 'physical' benefits of the Ptolemaic system"?
Check out this video. I referenced it as a warning against madness and the dangers of archetypal astrology or any resolute faith of significant tenacity.
Brilliant. Your a translator between the die hard astrologers and folks a little more philosophically inclined. Astrology was always about commitment - as with any love. Which is of course ... Wisdom. I appreciated your distinction that Astrology was not knowledge but wisdom. Coming to PCC was always a little like going to a Southern Baptist church where in stead of Jesus, the method of salvation was archetypal astrology. The choices were clear, one either converted or lived in darkness.
BRILLIANT. Significantly more food for thought per minute than other philosophical lectures, packed with paradigm-shifting goodness, and all the more extraordinary for being delivered by such a young proponent. 8 out of 10 cats preferred it.
