Capitalism isn't fascism. in a capitalist society, a government, typically a democracy, isn't expected to intervene in the free market. in a fascist society, the government, under a dictator, controls the economy. Capitalism encourages progress. whoever makes the best product will make money. that way people sort of vote on which product is best. the only way capitalism can backfire is if people abandon ambition to maintain the status quot. ad even then it works better the socialism

No, that is the point of democracy! As Marx and Lenin (among others) demonstrated in several publications (not least Das Kapital itself!) the capitalist system follows the general trajectory of: rise, at which time the working class can have more freedoms, stagnate, at which time wages and freedoms start to be taken back from the workers, decline, when wages and freedoms have been taken away so much bourgeois democracy is no longer tenable. Finally dictatorship and war or revolution.
