85K/6M ~ 0.014167. The numbers are clearly in favor of banning DRS. F1 is technical sport as Martin rightly identified, and F1 experience includes multitasking for fans, watching race action, watching lap charts, guessing strategy based on laptimes etc not to mention posting views on social media. So strategy aspect plays higher priority than artificial passes. What fans asked was reduce aero to promote "close racing". The survey needs to be tweaked :) - W4Ever
@unsuidojo Interesting point you raise. We all know that surveys can basically produce any result you want - providing you word the question correctly. If you're really sure that the result of this question was that the fans wanted more "close racing" as distinct from "overtaking" - well, that's huge. Not having seen any of the data from the survey I always believed that "overtaking" was the key word.
@PDWindsor1 - overtaking was the only option available in the FOTA survey ( I think it was published twice '06 and '07), and fans like me at predicted the outcome of that survey, first the KERS and then DRS. Where are the duels of Alonso defending against Michael lap after lap in Imola'05 and Michael returning the favor in 06. Back then overtakes had to be earned and hence JPM left fans awestruck. These days overtake is just a button press away :-(
