@Pancakezify Just choose a different color to draw the line with. He chose grey to start. So if you want red, green, blue, etc. And then just follow his steps from there.
Another way to make a smoke effect is to simply draw your line, and then use the smudge tool. Of course you would have to change your brushes, but either way will get you the smoke effect you desire. This tutorial seems like a "cleaner" way to do it.
