Silverchair is cool, but I think these days they just try too hard to be rock stars. They were more honest and humble back in these days, Just my opinion.

I agree, I guess it can go to your head easily when you become a rock star at 15 when you didn't have musch confidence or know who you were as he was and is still is shy and introverted so the fame thing is even more unnatural for him than say Justin Timberlake who seems like he was born for it and is very extroverted anyway. Could also see D J wasn't happy when interviewed at 15, tried to mask it.

When he had really bad depression he saw a Doctor or therapist who advised him to move out of home, which I think was a mistake because family tends to keep us grounded unless they are fruit cakes and being alone tends to be the worst thing for depression. Could see the change after he left school and moved out of home, not that he was at school much at all in 95,96 and 97 but still.
