anyone know a dx10 card that will fit this pc i have a 7900 on it right now and its a tough fit here are the specs of my 7900 Product Dimensions: 7.8 x 3 x 4.4 inches ; 2 pounds its right against the memory so i need a direct x 10 card that is same size or smaller but worth the upgrade
This computer is great i upgrade the processor and the ram i add 4gb of memory and upgrade the core duo two to a intel core duo quad it's really good now that i did that the computer runs smoothy all of my documents and the internet runs great plus the other features of vista.
that one isnt that great of a gamer if thats what your into cus your only using the motherboards graphic card, not that good of a computer, you can get one for 670 bucks at staples with 3 gigs of ram expandable to 8 gigs and a 600 gigabyte harddrive, super loaded with a great ge force graphics card
There is another version of this PC but it is called HP Pavilion a1030n but this was back in 2005 and with Windows XP. Also all this is the same but except Intel Celeron 2005 version Intel Pentium 4, And 1GB 2005 version 2GB of RAM, Hard drive for the is one is 300GB 2005 version 200GB, And in the back there is no printer port on this one and the 2005 version there is an port.
i had vista home premium on Intel Celeron 530 1.73GHz with 1GB DDR2 RAM and SiS 672 Graphics, it ran pretty good, but the most ram available was 50MB, so you need alot more than 1GB RAM if you want to run games.
Hell, this thing, it has NO ps2 slots for keyboard and mouse, since most newer ones are USB plugins, the BIOS on the computer boots it up reconizing any USB devices right off the bat, so you can still enter setup! Oh and I'm not even getting into the amazing cool ability to turn it on and off by REMOTE CONTROL, two of which came with the comp, one looks like something out of sci-fi it's so tiny, the other looks more normal except the button with the windows logo on it.
This thing has USB 2.0, but not only that, if you change the boot settings, I kid you not, it will give you the option to actually BOOT OFF A USB HARDDRIVE. That's right, now if you have a large enough USB powered harddrive (750 GB ones can be found at circut city), you can actually install an OS on that, and run off it, like I am! Wireless internet controlled by a switch, ethernet port, modem plug, HDTV out plug, SDTV out plug, A/V plug for cameras, built in webcam, moniter slot, and more.
I gots me the HP Pavilion notebook PC, it's got 1.5 GHZ dual core processor, Win Vista Home Premium (unfortunately, windows XP disks don't seem to reconize the harddrives on this thing, so I can not downgrade :( ) and a built in tiny DVD-RW drive with Lightscribe, two USB ports on the right side, and another two on the left, it's got a television tuner it came with which actually allows me to watch television off the damn thing flawlessly, and it's got oh so much more!
I have this computer but with 2GB of ram and an ATI Radeon 3650 HD card... made some important upgrades with the time.
