What are these "Cold Cases"? I just watched "The Goodbye Room," and it was obviously fictional. Are these from a t.v. show? Probably, right? I mean, that's, most likely, the name of the show, "Cold Case," and it's about crime, mystery, thrillers, etc., right? Is it on cable television?

Anyone know? Care to elaborate? If not, no worries ...

@Brooke684 a "cold case" is a case that couldnt be solved around the time it was under investigation (for a variety of possible reasons: lack of manpower, lack of technology, etc etc), but has been re-opened again. I'd like to believe this show was fictive, but truth be told they are realistic enough to be based on real life events.

I had never seen a single episode of Cold Case until after I was home after delivering my now 1 year old daughter. Aaaand I managed to catch it on this episode. Absolutely wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time, and NOT the best thing to watch as a mom 1 week postpartum! Could. Not. Stop. BAWLING.

I feel sorry for the burnette girl, she wasn't evil. She just snapped from having her baby taken from her. She's searched for years for her son, thats a heartbreaking thing to lose your child. I know it doesn't excuse her actions, but I still feel sorry for her. At least she got to see a picture of her son.

I love it when the girl gets to meet her father and grandmother. And gets to see her mother as she passes.

I always cry at the end of Cold Case. I think it's the way they show all the people involved at the end of the episode, with a sad song, and the way thay let the victim fade out.

So far there hasn't been a single episode that didn't make me cry.
