  • i dont like mw3 gameplay, but your sutch a awesome commentator that its still awesome

  • I've been trying to find a job since I was 16, nothing. I know how you feel. Its just an odd situation, unless you have friends or people in the know its really hard to find any job.

I just don't know how all this connects to the economy, we just can't hire people? Its only us here, why can't we hire people? Unless there is an overflux of jobs and people applying, it just confuses me on how this could easily change when its the same people that were here 12 years ago.

  • thank you, thank you, thank you

People with full time, secure jobs pissed me off so much when I was unemployed. Nothing like people who have no clue what it's like out there acting like they do know.

  • So what do you experience in? What do you do now?

  • This makes it look rather scary going into the job market. I guess the best thing is to do something independent, like make a game living in my moms house, heh. Seriously, though, it doesn't sound too unlikely for people to do, especially if the economy worsens.

  • you always sound tired.

  • @wearblackclothes it was done at midnight after a 10 hour workday and a gym workout....need i say more..

  • @ReviewTechUSA hey dude do you use the hauppauge hdpvr to record the cod game play if you do how do you format the recording to go on you tube because i have looked everywhere and nothing works

  • @ReviewTechUSA

    how much do u deadlift?

  • As for taking advantage of unemployment, sometimes unemployment pays more. Why give up 1600-2000 a month of unemployment for a 1200 a month job.

  • Interesting, I thought only my industry did that sort of thing. You try to get a job and when 6 months go by they start wondering why nobody has hired you in six months. They ask things like 'Well why didnt you get a job?' and you explain 'Well, the economy sucks and nobody was hiring.'. They also claim that your unhirable because you haven't been working in so long.

In the end you work for a small company and eat their shit cause they know you need the job and will do it with a smile.

  • Very well said Rich.

The way it's going in the UK is shocking. MIllions out of work and now they're changing the rules so that many people with health issues will lose their benefits. Homeless figures are going to skyrocket come April.

  • @BenwaysWorld I live in England. The whole benefits system requires a complete overhaul. Many people are abusing the system and it's costing us millions..

  • I live in the Uk and just finished at uni doing networking and system support, and after looking for work for months, i settled with a job at PC world, and they're only giving me 8 hours a week just now. But i count it as experience and i get on with it. But It is very daunting for me at the moment.

  • was that friendly fire???

  • If i could get a 9 to 5 job I would be so happy. And if I could work for IBM from 6am to 2pm I would skin a kitten and wear it as a hat.

  • Move out of NY...BAM...Jobs....

  • I'm in the unfortunate position of not being able to work due to health problems - collapsed spine, degenerative arthritis in spine plus a multitude of other problems, such as suffering a stroke 4 months ago, despite only being 40

Prior to my ill health, I was self employed computer consultant, but I still feel like I am branded a 'sponger'.

And now in the UK, they have amended the benefit regs to get disabled people back in to work, despite there not being enough job for _healthy_ people!

  • Finding a job is nearly imposible if your young, im 19 had literaly 16 aplications in and have yet to even get an interview, or call or anything

  • I consider my self lucky since im still young (16) I at least have one thing attracting me to employer's is that im cheap labour, sure I get payed above minimum but im doing as much work as co workers and getting paid alot less, not that I mind for one second, working 7:30 to 5:30 give's me money, and I can spend that on what ever I want.

  • I'm working part time and even I had to fight tooth and nail to get that damn job..

  • I was in the same boat up until a few months ago. I got canned from imax in 2007 and just got a job at starbucks recently. And also i have a degree and its been hard to find a for that major, but at least i have income now.

  • I got my job in mid 2008 and the company is still in a growth phase and hiring. I'm not sure how long that will last though. I consider myself lucky (but I made some of my own luck by studying something useful, not liberal arts).

I think we may be coming to the end of the era of jobs/careers as we know it, at least for a while. For many people it will not be possible to "get" a job at a company - they will have to make one themselves. Entrepreneurs will have to rebuild the economy from scratch.

  • i here ya bro, in 2004 i was layed off and lucky i was able to find work after 3 mounths unemployed. i got a job at a hotel wasent what i wanted to do but needs must as they say. after 6 years of doing this job i dident want to do i got a promotion and now im the night manager, so i run the hotel at night. things could be worst thats what i say. the town were i live used to be a fishing town and it's not any more there is nothing here job wise and it feel's like everyone in the same position.

  • going thru the same thing right now...applied at over 30 different places and not one hire

  • I think the problem is that we rely too much on big companies for the bulk of our jobs especially ones that require a college degree. For the past 50 years our economy has exploded, and to get a job all you needed was a degree. Since then companies have been mass producing goods and people have been mass consuming goods. This will never last forever and was predicted to fall from the onset. What we really need is localized communities, mom and pop shops on every block, TNDevelopments etc.

  • 9-5 is awesome!!!!

  • I just got laid off this week and I will say I feel a bit better about it. I hope it wont take me as long to find one as you do. Glad you made this video.

  • Rich, I just want to say that I am in the exact situation you talk about here and have been pretty damn frustrated lately. And have been getting a lot of judgments thrown at me as well. This video helped a lot.

    Thanks.

  • 'the triain of judgment' is like a COD NaziZombie-train that needs to get raped.

The only problem is that zombies come in endless.

  • Well said!

  • Is this a response to the DaLooseGoose11 drama?

  • Why not change the channel name to CurrentAffairsUSA or PoliticsintheUSA dont take it the wrong way man but i hear about recession and unemployment everyday i come on youtube to relax and escape those anxiety's please do something gaming related again bro.

  • Good video rich. I have been applying as well. It is pretty tough.

  • I use to upload videos to youtube like you than I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @redmar79 Lol, a lot of Skyrim guards took an arrow to the knee...

  • @redmar79 happened to the best of us.

  • I've been unemployed since summer of 2009, never collected unemployment and got evicted 1yr ago. Fortunately I have some family in the Carolinas who have been gracious enough to help me out even though they themselves are struggling.

I'm severly discouraged depressed and often have thoughts of suicide. The system is crumbling at its roots and will eventually collapse. Just a matter of time. I just hope I'm still around to witness this upcoming historic event!

  • A good, constructive video!

At the end of the day, you need to be patient, wear the robe of humility, and continue to send out those resumés. Eventually, you will be gainfully employed!

For those currently in the doldrums of despair and hate the job that they hold, remember a job does not define you: as long as you have a roof over your head, supper on the table, and your bills paid for, you are doing alright.

  • Damn, i'm 15 so even if i wanted to, I cannot get a job due to child labor laws. That being said, I do things like yard work for money. Sadly, even finding someone that needs yard work is hard, and i live in a desert area.

  • lately I have been doing by best to make a job for myself and basically create what I do and sell myself to people-- I'm a network and hardware tech, I also do custom electronics for people. Latest order: ion gun for personal defense. Pretty cool, huh? But i try to make myself available and even wanted to DONATE time as a tech. This is frowned upon. I graduated three years ago, still no job, and started and had my one business go under. It's real hard and I am not a lazy one.

  • Good legit advice right there.

  • i'm working a seasonal job at toysrus distribution center right now but they offered me a part time job after the season is over. this is the best job i've gotten in the past 2 years after graduating from college with a masters in physics and minor bio chem. my student loans are astronomical. now that is just sad...

that being said, the way the economy is now i'm just thankful for any job offer i've gotten. i don't think people who work menial jobs realize this.

  • @iPriestHolmes I saw your name before anything else, so I laughed when you said you worked a seasonal job lol.

  • @ASwiftHippie ....and that's suppose to mean?

  • @iPriestHolmes Are you being serious...?

Haha, your name is iPriestHolmes(a football player) and you said you work a seasonal job.... You don't get it? Haha. Sorry if you don't like my humor, I suppose.

  • @ASwiftHippie lol ... no

  • @iPriestHolmes No you don't get it or no you don't like my humor lol? I don't care either way.

  • @iPriestHolmes

You should consider working/moving/immigrating to Canada. The pharmaceutical field is healthy and thriving north of the border. To be honest, even when there is an economic turn, the pharmaceutical sector is growing albeit slower than normal.

  • Its the same here in England I was laid off 1 yr + now and despite learning a new trade and applying for several jobs a day I've heard nothing back not even not even a sorry email.

  • @Torchy84

If there is one place where the economy is equally bad as the United States, if not worse, it is the United Kingdom. In the past 3 years, I've been there a number of times and each time I've visited the U.K. the economy has gotten worse.

  • Where do you live? Sounds like wherever you live is a lot worse then where I am. I mean, it's not great here, but it's not that bad.

  • So many people are laid off and don't have jobs these days. You're not lazy you're normal. I just got a job and I'm working more hours then my parents and I'm also a full time student. I never complain cause I'm paying the bills. It's crazy, I don't sleep, but it pays the bills. This economy is crap.

  • @anticliche321 maybe you should complain...

  • you work at Best buy now right? I caught a glimpse of the sign on your black Friday vid :)

  • @TheJustin574 he was just showing the line i dont think he works there?

  • @linkszxx If i'm not mistaken, I think he said in the video he had to go to work to handle something, but I could be wrong.
