Mohsin Naqvi is the poet's name. It's not Abr-e-Barsaat. It is as follows;

Abr barasa na hawa tez chali hai abke

kitani weeraan teri yaadon ki gali hai abke

kya kahu kitane bahaanon se bhulaaya hai use

ye qayaamat badi mushkil se tali hai abke

ya meri aankh ke kashkol mein aansu chamaka

ya andhere mein koi shamma jali hai abke

kisako furasat hai dhuwaan dekhane jaaye mohasin

jhopadi shahar se kuch door jali hai abke

dont know why ghullo ji didnt sing other shair of that ghazal as this makes it very short...i heard Ghulam ji singing same ghazal with more shairs in it..but composition wise Gullo ji is far far better than Ghulam Ali in this Ghazal

brother, I don't agree with you that Jagjit Singh doesn't have understanding of Urdu. As far as I know, he learned urdu specially from someone in Mumbai, that is what I heard him saying in one of his interviews. And also I don't see any mis pronunciation of any Urdu word in Jagjit's singing.

MOHSIN...means who had helped you a lot in past that you cannot re-pay and you have lot of respect in your heart for your MOHSIN.

The last verse of ghazal is called maqta, poets normally use their name in maqta, this name is called 'takhalus' of a poet. The word 'Mohsin' has the meanings as written above but here 'mohsin' is used as takhalus of poet.
