@hardeneder saffi fire is kind of an exploit like penta too. penta penguin can only be got using cheat. also in PAL version penta is considered as a cheat since it has max speed, turn and acceleration, when in NTSC version penta is kinda glitched and it has same stats as pura. Saffi fire can be obtained if you keep your engine on the very end of red zone for set amount of time differing from character to character. pura can attain the saffi fastest except in PAL version penta shares the place.

@stidukka Penta Has The Same Stats As Pura On PAL. Measure Them With A Ruler And You'll See ;-). And Also Penta Can Nesseserialy be unlocked by beating all of oxides ghosts (sorry fot bad english)

@Vader19161 No, in PAL version of CTR Penta has max stats. Put Penta and dingo and pura and coco all in same line and have them all just press X to go straight. You'll see Penta will accelerate as fast as Coco, way faster than dingo and pura and soon when cocos speed caps penta will go faster because of higher speed stat. I dont know if in PAL penta was meant to be perfect character but it just happens to be the only character with maximum stats.

@Vader19161 At 1 point i was extremely interested in CTR and wanted to "know-it-all" so i did large scale research. When i found out that penta was the best character i was skeptic and i put Penta on Player1 and Dingo on Player2 and just pressed X in the turbo speedway starting straight. Penta got faster to the end of that. Then did same in slide coliseum the ending corners pressing just X and left, dingo couldnt turn fast enough but Penta did.

@Vader19161 Then i made 1 last try and put Penta and Coco in the Turbo Track starting straight and they accelerated as fast to the point where coco had max speed but penta just kept accelerating because it had higher max speed.

Then i thought that the slide coliseum test would be inaccurate cause the other character was Dingo, so i did it again with Penta and Pura and they both turned almost 100% same. Pentas turn was little wider but that is because it has more speed.

@Vader19161 Yes it does. I assume by what you said that you referred to the part where i said pentas turn was wider. Even if you have same level of turning, if you have more speed that the other character, your turn will be wider because you go faster and go forwards more than the other character.

I played this game 5 or 6 years ago and won some competitions in Sweden. Dont remember my best times but I cant forget my best lap on this course. It was 20.11 with Uka-Ukas and I never got near that again, but under 21 a lot of times. It was not on the first lap, no. Great to see this game is still alive!

How do you legitimately get Penta Penguin? I thought you could only get him with a cheat.

first time i used a cheat to have penta, but once i erased my save and i did a new game, and i also get penta in this second game but i don't remember used cheat...

then i tried doing with unlimited masks and got 1:07
