look at the date when this video was made. Xbox and PS3 was available for MvC2 online around the summer 0f 2009, so I'm pretty sure this is the dreamcast version.

@BryChe87 You CAN play MSP on controller. But you'll have to re-arrange the buttons or else you can't do the ROM.

@hellocrazy1 I dont play mags or storm or psylocke. That doesnt stop the fast paced characters from being fun. You think doing all those combos on good players is easy? Mags is a great combo character, but he doesn't have the greatest life, you can kill him easily. As for the spamming assist, you know you can double snap and kill the assist character right? punish that shit dont be a baby about it. and FYI they said iron mans tri-jump in mvc3 is faster than storms in mvc2.

How do you do the air dash to HK so fast? No matter how quick I pull it off there is a slight delay where the character kind of hovers into the opponent.

I am doing:

SuperJump -> down/toward + both punches -> HK

@artemadorous there are a couple techniques for this. i prefer the slide. instead of pausing to do the HK/LK you slide your finger down so its one fluid motion. watch some ROM tutorials online that show the hands and you'll see what i mean

Okay some hot tempers in here. This video assumes you already understand a few basics about the game; like a cancel: interrupting the animation of one "move" by performing another. So to superjump cancel is just what it sounds like. Can you SJC all moves? No. But he shows you some that you can. Timing is something that only be mastered by practice, but he does offer an explanation. I know theres some holes in this tut, but its impossible to explain a character in 8 minutes, especially Magneto

I love how he is telling us what the moves do and how they effect the gameplay but not actually EXPLANING the buttons or anything at all. Like how you keep saying use the super jump cancel w/o even trying to explain what the heck a super jump cancel is in the first place!!! whats a reset? ive heard people saying that they use the reset with their mags .. and whats a 100% technique? magnetro2k uses it in his doom infinite vid

Reset: when you perform a combo there is no proportion betwen the number of hits and the damage caused. The more hits, less damage. think on a 10 hits combo, the damage caused with one is lets say 10%. but if you do 2 times a 5 hit combo the damage caused is like 17%. So, then you broke a combo into small pieces leaving no chance to the opponent to block. that is you do multiple and consecutive mini combos to do a lot of damage to your opponent.
