  • I should also add that Raymond is one of the nicest people I have ever met!

  • Galileo is the sweetest tortoise ever! I got to meet him when I was in Madagascar last year and totally fell in love with him. I believe he is several hundred years old. I hope he gets the help he needs.

  • How old is the turtle?

  • As far as I know Galileo is still alive and still looking for help with his cataracts. Please help him if you can. All it takes is a referral to the right vet!!

  • He has great grandchildren older than Beethoven.

  • are you still looking for vets?

  • Better off saving some kid losing thier eyesight

  • Has a vet seen this tortoise yet, or is he still in need?

  • If hes is actually that old that means he was born around 1757 that before america became a country.

  • Thats pretty cool.

  • i will certainly ask around the vets i know.

  • I love that tortoise! are you still looking?

  • Yes. If you know anyone who knows a vet please feel free to share this video. Thanks

  • Are you still looking for someone now, or has Galileo passed away?

  • Yes I think he is probably still alive. If you can help. Please reply to the email address at the end of the video and someone will get back to you.

    Thanks for your interest.

  • For the last three weeks I was in Madagascar and Kenya, and during my travels met Raymond and Galileo at le Fontenay. I do recall his eye not being in very good condition then - probably injured beyond medical treatment. I do agree that he ought to be looked at. Guinness World records should certainly take a look. Having been to Galapagos myself he's probably bigger than the tortoises there. I think Raymond said that he was a Comoros island tortoise? Could anyone confirm this?
