Must say this is very cool we tend to play it during the winter with my aunts they are totally awesome at it. I was lucky enough to download the game totally free for my ps3 from 115 games |dot| com there are hundreds I couldnt beleive that they are all free too also I must say 0:31 2 2:41 was awesome

I haven't had the chance to play much, but from what I've been able to gather there are certain parts in the song in which you can use the slider instead of the frets (Like the solo buttons on Rock Band's guitar) or you can also use it as an alternative to the strum bar (tapping)

You are right the purple line is an open note like an open E. However the bass is the only part that will have this open note. The reason they added it to bass according to Brian Bright of Activision, is because the bass does not have chords and they wanted it to be exciting.

I agree. Although the drummer is playing on expert, just the way the set is setup you are going to have to have some kind of drum know how. I have watched several hours of video for this game, and all of the tracks I have seen are equally as hard looking as the other. I think for simpleness Rock Band is going to win out although GH does have a beginner mode that is easier than easy

This is not true. harmonix made GH1, GH2 and also Rock the 80's. GHIII And world tour are made by Activision. Harmonix was bought out by MTV and they made the first ever game to give us a 4 piece band which is Rock Band.
