Unless you poison them with lots of -% enemy poison resistance and high damage, there is no way to break the healing with just open wounds. You would HAVE to have enough physical impact to hurt them. I don't know if they heal AS you fight them, I only know they'll start healing madly if you're not attacking them. I'm trying to remember back to when I failed miserably with a poorly built summon necro whether the Uber Diablo healed or not as my troopers were fighting him.

I think, though if you revive half a dozen Urdar with your minions or so to take him on, you can tank enough damage to kill them. Even then, you'd need quite a bit of +skill gear to do so. And Enigma or some teleport item to keep them from wandering off.
Oh and uhhh.. yeah... no... I would not be able to hit something 20 levels higher than me with only a few hundred attack rating XD! That malice works for you, but malice on a caster is asking to be killed... lol. Alright uh Modighen, Prevent Monster Heal does NOT work on Uber Diablo or Uber tristram's bosses. I just read and confirmed this on multiple sites. I have also read that there is no way to offset the healing aside from high impact damage. (cont)

Uber Diablo (Dclone) appears by selling a bunch of stones of jordan (sojs) on one server. It's hard to find Uber Diablo given that you go into a different server for each different game, but if you do find him, just copy this guy's gear xD! and you'll own Uber Diablo for your annihilus.

I've always admired the Barbarian class for their ability to tank damage in the higher levels. Most people underestimate the different strengths of classes OTHER than Paladin. And almost all Paladin's I see now are Blessed Hammer. I'm currently building a Frenzy-Whirlwind-Berzerk Barb and a Smite-Zeal-Fanatacism Pally. They're both doing very well for their level.

@iwantutbenow Life Leech is nerfed pretty bad once you reach Hell. Aldur's Rhythm has 3 Amn Runes. That may make the mana leech low, the life leech was 31%. Looking back, though, I should have used a String of Ears instead of the T-Gods. Melee characters don't need protection from the Lightning Hose
@ramycardo I usually just coast in a Hell Difficulty game. Most of the time, I'm kicked off or nothing happens. Once in a while, though, I have a game that's on the same IP as people selling a bunch of SoJs and he walks.
There's also a mod called PlugY that you can use to get him to spawn in Single Player.

It's been a while since I played but it had something to do with transmuting all the keys in act 5 and then collecting the 3 organs and transmuting them and getting a uber trist with all the bosses in it? a bit foggy on it.
@Dreadnaught1985 You do spawn the bosses Meph, Baal, and Diablo, but when you kill them all you get a torch and standard of heroes. for this, you have to sell soj's to merchants, and after a few sold like 7-11 (i think), a Dclone will be summoned randomly to a game with the right ip. google dclone hunting, youl find everything.
@Angrycodplayer From what I understood, if a group sells around 125 Stones, they get DClone to walk on every game attached to that IP. There are groups who do that on a regular basis, I used to coast in games hoping to stay logged on (and be lucky enough) to catch him walking.
@JanJanNik I agree that the curses are more help. But when you're solo, it's a point that's not wasted (and I've never invested more than one point). Just like Leap Attack, it's a one point wonder just in case no one is on (or in my case, no one is actually at their computer.)
Although next ladder I might just make a leap attack barb to see if he can smack down DClone.

Poor, but still under 3 minutes. The first time I fought him, I was missing a few things from the layout I have here. It took me 2 hours, all my gold and almost all my potions.
@LucaTurilli89 Rune drops at that time were terrible compared to now. I chose Black for its 40 percent chance of crushing blow and the fact it is cheap. Black can only be made in a club, so I built around that. Swords and axes are considered better mostly for the power of the runewords that can be made in them, but I needed to find those runes in the first place, which just wasn't happening.
Essentially, I went mace because it was cheap, but still worked.

It was what I had.
Rune drops that season were terrible.
I hate trading.
I didn't need gg stuff to kill Dclone.
The morning star is Aldur's, with Amn runes. You're right I forgot to hover over it, but I have it in the description.
