Scrubs has some of the best comedic writers and actors in modern television. It's an 80's mixture of sarcasm and wit. The humor is dry and biting, sarcastic and playful and captures a bit of old school classics comedic styles of Cary Grant and Hope/Crosby.

The most refreshing and overlooked quality of Scrubs is that it doesn't need to use needless profanity to be wildly clever and funny.

When I saw this Justice of the Peace bit and dialogue, I fell off the couch laughing!

TheAnnemrie is right, his name IS Glenn Matthews. Somebody posted a video explaining it (was removed). Bill Lawrence said that the Janitor and a character in Clone High have the same name. The name is Glenn Matthews. Which means that the Janitor lied to everyone but told the truth to JD. I thought it was very moving.
