Right on! I've really enjoyed your videos over the past few months, no qualifications. You've really got that Hobart Smith machine gun idiom down. Thanks for the great playing.
one thing that occurs to me as i buck dance around the living room to this tune is 'you know, there is just some organicness lacking in this that is perfectly captured by the nitty gritty dirt band.' so please banjochris, for our sake, don't upload any more videos for free for our viewing pleasure because you're distracting me from the vast cosmic organicness of the nitty gritty dirt band. thank you.
I really have enjoyed watching your videos over the last several months... you're truly awesome, but this one is just a hair to fast and needs a little more organicness to it. I am not suggesting for you to duplicate, but a great example of Soldier's Joy done close to perfectly is on the original Will The Circle Be Unbroken set from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. You're still a much better player, technically, than I am, so I don't mean to high horse you at all!
amazing

I have stumbled onto a goldmine. You give YouTube a good name. Just wonderful. I will try to keep up with my Martin, and it will be no easy task!

Love the tone of the instrument and crispness of the playing.

to my ear it just seems too fast, like a record playing on the wrong speed, kills the enjoyment of the tune

for the record the above person is wrong (except the part about you being awesome)... what the hell is 'organicness'?
