I feel as if their specialty is animation...especially when it comes to movies. Their animation just never ceases to amaze me or touch me deeply in some way.

The latest live action film that is quite dark and unexpected is Confessions - Tetsuya Nakashima. MY GOD is that good movie.

Dont get fooled by the human animations just look at the backround its freaking awesome and the film was awesome too. People these days only like an anime just for the animation of the characters. Hell just look at one piece they have weird ass characters but they dont bother me at all in fact the style makes it more interesting to watch and read.

Holy crap.... I was freaking amazed..... I even want to watch it over and over again. I never thought anything would beat Hayao Miyazaki. I don't understand. White is my least favorite character. He complains, shrieks, acts like a deadweight, can't do shit and probably wears a diaper. The movie would have been a lot better without this character.

You clearly missed a very big part of the movie. The obvious being that the character of White is complimentary to the character of Black, White represents childish optimism, hope, and is the general positive to counter Black's negative.

And where as Black acts like he knows everything but is actually rather lost, White acts naive but actually knows everything.

I really enjoyed this film. I found the character of White very engaging, especially his naivety regarding the corrupting and violent nature of the world he inhabits. But Black was also intriguing, the strong provider and protector who needs the humanity and innocence of White to prevent him from descending into madness and motiveless brutality. Unlike many Japanese animated films, this has a genuinely unique style of drawing, a departure from the mainstream. I recommend it! :)
