I don't see why people keep comparing Izaw and Deva. They're both totally different Links.

Deva is the better player, Izaw just plays a flashier, more fun to watch Link who is better at making his opponents look like garbage. Deva is the currently the best Link, and Legan is hot on his tail. Izaw is definitely right behind those two, and probably closing fast.

Well, to be honest no one can "perfect" but yeah, I know what you mean. Izaw has a lot of tech skill, that is, he can perform many ATs. Still, going by tourney results and the level of players each has played, Deva is the better player.

And Deva is living proof that Link doesn't need ATs. Izaw is good, really, really really good, but he's not the best, yet.

Izaw also lives in SWEDEN though, thats a disadvantage. He can't face guys like DSF in a live tourney match.

Only way to really decide it is for Deva and Izaw to face-off in a Link ditto. Shit, I'd pay money to see that happen.

BTW, Link dittos don't prove who's the better Link, even offline. Dittos in general don't prove who's the better character - they just prove which player handles the matchup better. Only way to really know would be how Izaw does against a lot of top players in the states once he comes to Genesis.

This was, IMO, one of the best stages that could be picked for Link against Meta. It allowed Link to escape from Meta since MK's aerial DI is somewhat slow, and he never had the chance to glide or dash bacause of the setup of the platforms. Thus, Deva was able to escape, pull bombs, use aerials, and generally just have more breathing room. Great match, anyway.

Fair Enough... I know this guy, called AceGamer, and he's ELITE... I've managed to win just the one Brawl against him, but he really is fantastic!

We played about 20 straight brawls, everytime he used a different character, and i switched between my 4 mains... I didn't win one... I've only recently beat him!

Ace and a few of his other rivals like NAS and Wave should fight DFS and Deva... the outcome would be interesting to see ^.^

I'd be curious to see them, but the fact remains that Deva has more tournament experience/placement than any other Link. Until you show me another Link doing better in tournaments, or until we find some way to make all of the Link's fight each other in a series of matches to determine the best, that's the only statistic we have to compare!

Yeah, DSF is the best by tournament rankings. Really, the three best players are Mew2King, Azen, and DSF as far as I know...M2K and Azen are both east coast and switch off on tournament wins, while DSF consistently wins on the west coast, so DSF has the best rankings. He also travels to EVERY major tournament on the west coast. And he rocks. Believe me, there's no closet player that could beat DSF if he was really trying in a tournament. :)

That's also when he didnt main MK though. He attends and wins the most tournaments of any smasher to date, and hasnt played Azen or the other guy that beat him at CH3 since he started maining MK. By tournament standards, his MK is far better than his Snake.

You can't compare East Coast and West Coast in this way because East Coast has a lot more Pros. We've got Azen, Chillin, Chu, Forte, Omni, and Plank just in Maryland/Virginia. If DSF wins a bunch of tournies that all the other pros don't go to, that doesn't necessarily make him better.

They are simply stating ranking based on tournament wins or win/loss ratio. I love my EC and especially VA, but they're just going on stats. They're not saying one coast or player was necessarily BETTER or more skilled than the other.
