Please, tell me what frequency are the video transmitters and receivers that you and your mates are using here? I'm looking at installing FPV gear on my plane but I'm not sure which band (900MHz, 1.3GHz, 2.4GHz or 5.8Ghz) works best (without interference) in Australia. I'm also in QLD. Thanks!
@izzy999962 hey izzy, we had quite a range of gear between the different aircraft, and most weren't mine so I'm no able to list it all off the top of my head, but if you're interested in a particular setup just give me the time it appears during the video and I'll find out for you! :)
@clarklidbury Most/all of this gear was bought online and shipped into the country. It's just cheaper and there is a much greater range of products than what was available in Australia at the time.
oh how cool is that. Lake Moogerah is a beautiful place to visit and to be able to see it like this is awesome. Do they make these planes to carry still cameras or are the attached cameras good enough to take high res stills?
Well it's completely up to the modeler. These are hobby aircraft modified for the purposes of remote flight and aerial photography. The planes in this video were only set up with standard res video equipment, but they could definitely support a still camera.
There are people who have gone as far as to mount HD Video cameras or even DSLR's onboard model aircraft similar to these - just do a search on youtube for "HD RC Aerial Photography" or something like that...
